| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I just saw this RAW. Very beautiful story about fireflies but specifically one beautiful women. I can't say much about it since it is RAW but I can say that Hotaru did indeed fall in love with that man but that man got a girlfriend. In the end getting them to marry was just a great thing from Hotaru to bless him like that. Hotaru trying to commit suicide because of this love, was another example about certain issues in Japan. The heated love part was the best love between ghost and human of this series that's apart from the friendship love of #7. Nyanko sensei IS THE BEST! See you when subs are out. |

| I don't know about this one. The ingredients were there for a beautiful, touching story, but I'm not sure either the art or the lacklustre characterisation were focused enough. They weren't bad by any means; they also weren't that good. I hope there's a bit of a revival (in, I don't know, overall healthiness?) before I get a bit too disenchanted. |

| Quite a gorgeously directed episode. It almost didn't need words at all, and that's just what held it back...dialogue...and was anyone else weirded out by that guy patting Natsume's head like that? Very weird to me.... |
| ^ It did seem weird, but he did pat Hotaru's head like that. I guess he misses doing that to her and does it on Natsume instead. Or Natsume is that adorable and attracts older men. Ah, Nyanko Sensei was hilarious and the story was touching as ever~ For the next episode, I'm really hoping the new character will bring some interesting moments with this "aura" of his. lol |

Yay for Japan SCREW Disney? That's what I think when I see this story and compare something similar but with Disney setting. You about a soul a week thingy....he does have 108 names to give back and right now I think (SOMEONE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG) somewhat 20 spirits more or less so at the very least he still has 80 names to give back. Glad you like the series...get the OP song while y ALL can. It should be cool listening this in your car! |

| Perfect in his genre, as always. A reference in slow-paced, atmospheric, episodic and still nicely plotted with great main characters series. I prefer it to Mushishi personnally. |

| I'm not sure if I liked this or episode 6 more, but either way it was more Natsume goodness. This series has went from being pretty mediocre early on to being one of the best things from 2008 because it knows that the way a story is told is more important than what the story is about. |

And it looked pretty, despite the graininess. If any episode deserves a rewatch, it's this one. |

| I love how Natsume is more and more willing to try to understand, help and befriend the spirits. Everytime he does, he gets closer to the spirit. This episode was wonderful. Why did she have to wear that mask if at the end, it just came off? |

| I was on the brink of tears when Akifumi was yelling "Wait!" when he saw Hotaru in firefly form. Then came the beautiful scene with the bunches of fireflies... Simply great episode to watch. I guess my favorite part about this episode is that fact that Natsume gets confronted with the idea that he might one day loses his spirit-sight (I guess I'll call it that). It provides nice character development and makes Natsume into a more rounded person. He wanted to get rid of them for so long, but now that he's grown attached to several of them, he doesn't want to totally lose his gift. I know I'd be sad if that happened to me... |

| Not bad ^_^ I've download every single episode of Natsume, as much as I like the show, I can't bring myself to watch more than 1 a day. normally I rush through everything. perhaps it's the style of this anime I take it ^_^. Takes a while to digest. |

| I can't seem to stop watching this series. I'm almost done with it in less than one day. Its a pity too. Its its a great series but there is only 13 episodes. After the first season I think I'll read the manga. It was another heart warming episode. That love story just did my day. |
