Hi.
I need recommendations. It could be anime, manga, or light novel. I'm searching for something that shows a lot about how to build and manage a kingdom, the lives of the people, the politics in the government, and the changes that occur in a kingdom (such revolution, rebellion, major disasters, etc.).
It may fulfill one or more of the criteria mentioned above.

Thank you.

Legend of the Legendary Heroes

See what I did there?

Break Blade might work too but it's more of a just war between them.

Hey there, the first on that jumped into my head would be juuni kokki abit of a slow starter the beginning isnt all that much about the kingdoms but later on and towards it gets more into the managing of the kingdom and its people. Is on the fantasy side and not very realistic FYI :)

Incredible how LOGH fits into everything.
Souten Kouro not really kingdoms but civil war and different factions.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann displays all those qualities. At first it's not much of it but comedy and action, but later on it's a lot of building a kingdom, rebellions, chaos, etc. Very enjoyable anime!

I've heard a lot about Legend of Galactic Heroes. I've watched the stage play (part 1), although due to the lack of my Japanese proficiency I had a hard time understanding the dialogue.
Nevertheless it was interesting. I guess this is the time I check out the novel, anime, and manga of this legendary series.

Other recommendations seems interesting too. I'll definitely give them a try.

Thank you everyone.

Thank you. This is great. Those titles are relatively new to me and seems very interesting.
I've watched 2 out of 3 seasons of Kyou Kara Maou! (like it) and I'm now reading Saiunkoku Monogatari light novel.

I feel convinced on giving Utawarerumono a try since it's been recommended a few times.

Sengoku Basara - This is about Japan . So instead ''Kingdoms'' like ones with the castles and stuff , it's more like , how should I put it , families ? I don't know just see it for yourself . I first saw this after I bought Shogun 2 : Total War , and said , ''what kind of witchcraft is this , can't be coincidence'' haha . But I like actions with some romance so never found time to start the series :P

I've seen the first episode and I wasn't impressed. I don't know. Maybe it's because I was taken aback on how exaggerated the anime was. (How could a samurai in Edo period say "Are you ready guys? Let's party!") And in episode one there was a lot of exaggerated fights. I'm not really into that.
But a lot of my friends like this series. And maybe I was giving up on it to early. Plus, I've just started watching Gintama and got addicted to Nakai Kazuya's voice~
Maybe I should give it another chance.
Thank you.

That's a relief. The stage play didn't have any subs so... *bitter laugh*
I know a friend who has the anime and I'm going to to meet her by the end of next week. Can't wait to watch it~
