Maybe because it's vocaloid, a seiyu would probably have been nicer. |

| Intro was in the fantasy world, CGI wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, but i hate CGI in general so i have a hard time liking it BRS looks like a maniac when she's pounding those bullets (or whatever she fires) into the ground haha in the assembly every one didn't have their faces drawn voice for kuroi's little bro was legendary (yeah gets name wrong for takanashi, same drill as OVA?) So the sensei will have a alternate character as well!? Friendship begins... OH SHIT DOORBELL RINGS Yomi ish scared T_T wheelchair girl comes and is dayum creepy.... (that Kaere kaere kaere kaere was creepy as hell) biscuits probably had drugs in them o.o Mato runs a away: who wouldn't? BRS is on the chase for dead master, nice music here Action starts out of no where when she gets hit by chariot's vehicle :O SHIT CHARIOT IS LIKE SPINNING HER FEET BLADES AND DROPPING FOOD ON BRS >.< (with all the chilly leave leave leave leave leave crap going on waaaah) Yomi is ignoring Mato >.< Mato still wants to be friends with yomi (cry moment touched me) *Parallel* BRS gets ass kicked by dead and charriot this scarred me: ED THEME SONG YEAH!!!! Yuu's alternate CD looks too beast So who was Yomi speaking to through the cups in the begining? Kagari? Where did BRS ponytails go >.< Didn't mind the glasses for yomi, but i didn't like them on dead master... also the veil Black gold saw is big boss? btw theme somg was ED not OP |

| It was good, but can't really tell much from the first episode, let's see how will this turn out. Hanazawa Kana is great as Mato. |

| I have to agreed with the arts being better in OVA but I think the story will be better here. As first impression of starting it the arts was aweful but CGs is great. When I get used of it I didn't really mind that. It's feel a bit weird about the different typ of story when you have watch the OVA but I do like Mato and Yomi here too. @Silgrond: Hanazawa Kana is not only good in this one, she is really good in voice acting almost every anime. I do like her voice acting Gundam Age for 2nd generation heroine Romary, but no talk about that this is Black Rock Shooter. Eh? I thought there was no opening in the first episode. Isn't ED Black Rock Shooter Song? I thought it would fit more as opening but guess they just do in the first episode. |

| I agree with Tenchio. This is very, very bad done. The normal-world animation is just horrendous. Terrible movements and bad drawing. CGI animation is ... better than the normal world's, but it is very overused ... normal animation would have been better for the characters, and just scenarios and the mecha made with CGI. Plot-wise ... wait, there was a plot ? I mean ... this was just like a "oh i can't have friends" "o yes u can lets go play!" *tears* and ... that's it. Absolutely no explanations on the other world, or who Agari really is (if they do say it, please tell me, I watched the raw and didn't get Agari's phone calls ... ). No, Shinobu. You were given 8 episodes to explain all of this better. And you make another 24 minutes of absolutely nothing ? Seriously ? Moooving on the characters ... they are NOT the same as in the OVA. Matou is the typical stupid protagonist and Yomi is an emo-life moeblob. That's about it. And this won't get any better because it's settled from the start. But hey! Not all is that bad! ... well, actually it is, but we have ryo doing the soundtrack for this. Background music was well done and put in the correct moments. This is something that I was expecting, ryo has a very good quality in their work. I don't know if the ED is the OP or ... something like that, but that version of Black Rock Shooter isn't ... very bad. supercell does its job well, this new version sounds kind of "empty" but is nicely done overall. I liked the part where ... wait, I didn't like anything of this. It's very bad done, seriously. Characters can't be fixed now, but at least they have other 7 episodes to develop properly plot-wise, which I hope is done decently in the second episode - if it doesn't, I'll drop this. That's pretty much what I am expecting for this series right now, but seeing how first episode turned out ... my hopes may be way too high. That's my ... first impression ? I guess. |

| Wow, intense fighting from the very beginning The way that the story is told seems similar to the OVA Or it seems like BRS is thinking about the time when she is Mato Love that insert song. The ED is also very well done. =D |

| Honestly i was expecting the game's story to be in this -_- also the op it better have similar graphics to this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isjNssmXXio . Animation wise its lacking in alot of ways, character design is different (BRS having less hair in her twintails than she should. But eh , its 8 eps, i'll stick with it for a big longer....hopefully slice of life dies and Apocalyptic world battles live. P.S. Did Dead master just turn into a Glasses Character? XD |

The point was the abomination the art was compared to his work. So yes, the art was that bad. |

| I did like it actually, BRS was the only one that looked remotely nice with the artstyle. The other characters not so much ( Black Gold Saw looked nice ). I hope there is more. Since the first episode is basically judging a book by it's cover, a.k.a. stupid people are stupid for thinking this way. |

Even with my already low expectations, this was terrible. Considering that they are complete newbies to the industry (this is the VERY FIRST project as a solo animation studio), this is actually impressive, especially the CGI portion. I really have to punch the face of the character designer, who left with a big suitcase of money to work for the iDOLM@STER. |

| Just watched out of pure curiosity (waiting for the raw of the new Highschool DxD episode to come out). The flow of this episode was pretty awkward. CG was done pretty good though. I'll watch if I nothing better to do. |

| I found this to be sub par sorta on the level as the game they released. I dont know if it was due to my high expectations as im a huge fan of Black Rock and Dead Master. I think this couldve been better if they used the manga as the source for the story rather tha trying to recycle the ova. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now since it was only the first episode and i hope they prove me wrong by making this alot better as it progresses |

I really hate the art style they are using, it has destroyed a great deal of the appeal to the Black Rock Shooter world for me. Animation seemed pretty bad IMO, didn't like the music in comparison to the OVA, art style AND animation were much much better in the OVA as well. I had already said I didn't have high hopes for this after the trailers but uh. Wish they had just continued with the OVA. |
| Like everyone else here I'm not a big fan of the art. It's not bad but the OVA art is just superior. Story kinda seems forced and too fast paced as well. But yay they used Miku's OP. :D |
| Wow, I didn't have any expectations but was pretty excited to finally see it for whatever reason. Nice to see the Miku song... but other than that. Really, really terrible artwork and the CGI is hard to stand. It's too bad, with some top animation this show would be so much better. I also really can't stand the re-design of DM. She looks so silly. |
| I thought all the artwork was great, like eye candy. I also thought the story unfolded pretty well for a first episode. I thought Black Rock Shooter constantly getting beaten, but not injured was a reference to Mato Kuroi's counselor session, how Mato's heart may feel like it was stabbed, but does not bleed, fester or ooze. It seems that dispute rumors otherwise, this anime does not pick up from the OVA, which is unfortunate. |

| This is really fucking terrible. The new character designs are horrible. The new characters are uninteresting. The plot somehow makes even less sense than the OVA. Also they added more "Drama" to the show so you can expect constant crying. The only good thing that happened was the fight scenes and this will be the ONLY reason I watch this. Overall seriously.....horrible and I doubt it will redeem itself in 7 episodes. I don't know why they didn't just expand on the OVA's storyline. It could have been good with explanation and decent plot pacing especially for an 8 episode series. |

| As a massive fan of Black Rock Shooter as art and an IP, this anime is horrible. At least the OVA kept the look and feel of the world. This took that, added two many annoying frills, magnified the slice of life crap, and took away the good/okay animation. The ONLY thing this anime is good for is the "OH SHIT DID THAT JUST HAPPEN!??!" moments every time Black Rock Shooter gets hit in her world. Outside of that, it's a massive disappointment.. I just wish she stuck as art.. Even the game wasn't too good.. |

As a fan of supercell and the OVA I enjoyed it for what it is. But...thinking back and comparing it to the OVA, that was pretty iffy. Still, fun watch. BRS deserves better but, oh well. At least its following the same formula. Not to say I didn't like it btw. Its just the animation :X. I cant bear to look at the OVA now. Did it look that good before...? lol. Oh and boo noitaminA and your 11 episode timeslots -_-. Thanks to Thermae Roma this is 8. Alright, a few extra eps might not save it. But it'd be nice to have a longer series, animation aside. |

| Mato, why your head get so flat? I already know which bitch I hate most. Counselor knows something. Pretty good first episode. Reminds me of Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica. Which is definitely a good thing. (Except for that HALF NAKED LOLI.) We'll see how it goes, though. Hope for the best, expect the worst. |
