Another show that doesn't take itself seriously (too much comic relief), but it's quite watchable. I hope it gets better.

Vash is really fun so far.

I don't actually care for the op. It's definitely different with the lack of lyrics but I still find it meh.

The episode had more comedy than I thou* it would, actually I thought it would barely have any xD it wasn't bad though.

That was fun. I half-expected I wouldn't like this and delete the series after ep1. Already 3 episodes in, guess I'll be keeping this one after all :)

Just watched this again after many years and, like last time, I feel a bit underwhelmed and unamused. This time I'll press on though because I have a feeling it'll get better.

Second best first episode after Monster.I like how the anime look like a mix between Cowboy bebop and Hokuto no ken and also the comedy.

Well, this is certainly not what I was expecting it to be like. Not that I mean that in a bad way.
It's an entirely different kind of flying, altogether!

Very good first episode. Always wanted to watch this anime, finally decided to do it. Well, seems like he's a giant misunderstand, I wonder how'd he even end up with such a bounty. Well, I can't wait to see the terrified faces of people when they see Vash, haha.

People around me talk about how great this Anime is, but nobody told me it was this hilarious. I came in totally blind, I was not disappointed. Even his name, Vash is epic.
He reminds me a lot of Alucard from Hellsing.

I had this show for longer than I care to count, given to me by a friend who gave me a ton of anime in the '90s like Hand Maid Mai, Amazing Nurse Nanako, and Golden Boy. This is a true classic, like the others, and I was surprised this is where Vash the Stampede was. I've seen his picture before but did not know what anime he was from. I finally got to this after all this time. It's an easy watch, which is a fair breeze compared to the overly contrived plots of some of today's anime.

Just one episode in and I knew that I was in for a ride! I went in blind, not knowing anything about Vash aside from his badass looks, his love for donuts, and that absurdly high bounty so I was completely caught off-guard by all the hilarity that ensued as a result.

Looks are deceiving and I'm more than certain that he'll reek of total badassery once things really get good. I'm also completely into the Wild West Wasteland setting with guns blazing all around and the classic 90s anime artstyle here~

I'm surprised and a little ashamed that it took me this long to watch this.

I don't normally judge the quality of something through excessive comparison (especially since it inhibits creativity), though the similarities to Cowboy Bebop are really uncanny. I know that the anime started airing 2 days before CB and that the source material came out 3 years earlier, but the setting and atmospheres of both really align with one another, even if they're quite different tonally. If anything, it's just another example of two studios having the same idea at the same time, and I can hardly hold either to account for that.

...What? This is supposed to be an episode discussion page?
I quite enjoyed this episode. While it felt like it was trying a little too hard to funny 24/7, it still managed to get a surprising amount of laughs from me. I'm all for dumb fun, and this is proving to be just that.

really liked it, the action, the humor, the OST, everything, i really don't mind the art, in fact i love the old style art better than the modern animation.

i liked vash but i hope he would be more serious.

Rewatching this, I wonder what Vash was gonna shoot if he actually had bullets? Possibly something fancy disarming his assailants.

No one told me Trigun was this freakin' hilarious. I haven't stopped laughing for the first four episodes. No mistaking the '90s animation, but the humor, action, and music more than make up for the artwork. I've seen it said that this is one of the "must-see" anime in your lifetime and I'm inclined to agree.

I think I watched a few episodes when I was a kid and used to think it looked awesome and sad but it used to air late at night so I used to be drowsy so I didn't use to pay attention to what was really happening but I do remember that Vash is supposed to be silly and Meryl is the serious one, let's see if I can wach it completely and enjoy it.

Now this a good first episode, it even felt short, everything went so smooth when it came about the jokes and the action scenes and all the characters ended up being charming especially the main one, Vash and now I'm eager to watch his adventures from now on.

I did remember the OP, yay!

Re-watching this series for the nth time, literally one of my favorite series of all time. But, I just want to refresh before the reboot airs.

I always felt like this first episode was what made me fall in love with this series. Vash is such an interesting character, and I absolutely love him in this.

I've been longing to watch Trigun for a long time and my god I think I've found a winner with the first episode. Chuck-a-block with action and humour and the cast of characters were fun to watch, I'm certainly getting Alucard vibes from Vash even if he's a goofball, not that there's anything wrong with Vash as a whole mind.

we got a great look on how vash's personality is like her. he's as much of a goofball that i expected him to be going into the show. i'm pretty fond of the two girls as well. i hope they're treated well in the show.
animation wasn't the most stellar but i don't really care since i care about the quality of the characters and stories more. but it still feels very unique even if the budget might not be super high.

Is this it? This is the great-you gotta see it-one of the best anime from the 90's? No really, is this it? Asking for a friend. Vash antics were annoying af, the two chicks were meh at best. The "villains" were nothing more than cardboard one punch line.

Not a good start to what is suppose to be a must watch anime.

Holy hell, I didn't know guns and bullets can do that much damage to a building! It just reminded me of the destruction in the game series Red Faction! XD

This also has a feeling of a western slash cowboy-esque theme, with a mix of a post-apocalyptic environment.

I also like how the main hero we're introduced showed a completely different personality that what we were expecting.
