Well say what you want but for me i can't stand it I push myself hard just to complete the anime and get rid of the song but it's a little bit of disappointment if the anime was good don't ya think?

OPs have no effect on how much enjoyment I get from a show. Seen tons of good shows with bad OPs, and lots of bad shows with bad themes.
If it's a good one, I'll probably watch it everytime, but if it sucks I'll just skip it after watching it once.

Of course, the OP and ED songs being good are just bonuses. If I don't like it, I just skip it. (or sometimes I also skip it even if it's good, because I'm on a hurry to watch the episode :3)

Also anything by "Raion". That's some awful sh!t... It doesn't make the anime worse, but it really impacts the enjoyment of the first few minutes...

I never judge shows by openings. I thought ZeXal was gonna be annoying, but it was pretty cool.

This is the only OP I have ever skipped, although the Love Hina OP is testing my patience.

I usually just skip it. Even if it's a great opening, I'll skip it occasionally because that way I can get to the episode faster.

Well after I watch the opening a few times I ALWAYS skip it. It seems so pointless to see the same thing 20 times in ever episode.

Unless I REALLY love the opening, like Kuchizuke in Shiki" then I will always listen to it <3

So the OP really doesn't affect my enjoyment of the anime. If the op is bad, I'll just skip it :D

I hate that too if you know you created a good anime why not spend a few extra minutes working on the opening cause alot of people will see the opening and say the anime is not worth watching so they miss out on a possible fan

Definitely, OP/ED shouldn't impact someone's thoughts on the anime itself. I've been skipping every OP/ED for every single anime I've ever watched, save myself 3 minutes of time. I listen to enough anime songs while playing Osu as it is.

Major season 4 opening was pretty horrible, but I still watched it and loved it. A good opening can be a plus, but a bad opening isn't a negative.

I like the animation during the OP and I usually watch it once...if it's a new arc I usually watch to see whats new...but overall the song doesn't change how I look at an anime...doesn't hurt to have a good OP though...Cruel Angel's Thesis is always stuck in my head...

Exactlu, who wouldn't watch a series because it has a crappy opening?! Like wtf.

Yes, especially in the first episode it would set the mood to continue or stop watching. Sometimes I skip the ED/ OP's, but even during the anime there is background music. The music really determines whether something is good or not.

I usually skip the opening. The only reason I ever go back to ever listen to it is if I found the anime to be really good.

Kill Me Baby's OP.... barely feels like an OP. But it doesn't affect my thoughts of the show and it's a decent anime so far.

Anyways, once I hear the OP's/ED's a few times, then yeah i'll skip it but why on earth would someone dislike or drop a show because it's OP is crap? There's shows where I'm not really fond of its OP and/or ED but can still be a great show.

I actually find it sad people skip OPs...some of them perfectly compliment the series to a degree where there is enjoyment in watching the theme songs as well. Hell, some even tell the whole story or foreshadow what will happen *cough* Clannad op 2 and 1, respectively

That would be another reason why I don't watch them. Might not apply to everyone but I would rather be kept in the dark about the future of the anime. I find it's more enjoyable trying to guess what's going to happen or to anticipate a plot twist/critical event than to simply expect something that I know is going to happen.

I love to listen to anime music, so of course this means that I like to enjoy OPs as well. If the song is good enough, I add the song to my music player, so I'm always looking for good OPs. Some OPs have to be watched a couple of times before they can be enjoyed. I watch the OP every time it comes on, unless its really bad.

Some of them kinda set the tone of the anime before you watch it, such as Higurashi or maybe Madoka.

The main thing I usually remember about an anime is its opening. I probably would drop a series if it very bad opening. Likewise, if a series is barely worth watching, a good opening will probably make me push through it anyway.

Yeah the current song they use for Naruto's OP(Newsong) is silly by itself. Its hard to make a serious OP with a silly song, but you can notice that they try to do so during the chorus of the song(with Naruto/Sai/Sakura) flying... Then they ruin it by having every character dancing..

Yes. No one should judge a book by its cover. In anime, the cover is the opening, since it is the first thing we see, just like the cover of the book.

For starters, Naruto and Reborn! have first openings that sucks (for me). The second openings became very good. Haruka Kanata by Asian Kung Fu Generation and Boys and Girls by LM.C.

Is this really a question? Of course I can.
Also, sometimes, what seems to be a bad opening/ending can actually grow on you and become one of your favorite songs. Just sayin'

So, it's not something that influences in my opinion.
