eta: DAYUM... but we've taken this waaaayyyyy off topic... (sorry, Krelian)

ROFLMFAO... well... if you don't mind 2 noisy teenage girls... (one all black and emo and stuff... the other a sweet lil' hyperactive tom boy)... and an over-the-hill-has-seen-beeter-days-fat-ugly-scarred wife... then hey... I'm all yours ^_^

Ooohhh? So you're letting me choose eh? Just so you know, I love kids. Even though it would be great to have a boy as well, I can live with it (things never go as you want them to go sadly >.> ). And there isn't a woman in the world that will retain its former beauty until they die. And yeah I'll grow old and grumpy at some point too. So if I would marry a woman just because she looks better than a goddess (and let's be honest, that'll never happen), I would be a fool for not marrying the woman I do love. ;)

I should rather ask you if you want me. You haven't seen my face, know my name, etc. Though I suppose you do know I like anime, and you might find out our compatibility concerning that.
So would you even consider a mystery guy...??

hehe j/p XD

HAHAHAHA boursk ::hugs:: If more men and women thought like that... there would be so much less cheating and divorcing going on in this world...

You're gonna make some (very young) woman very happy some day... lol.

Thanks for the smiles. :P

I love to cook, but I don't do it a lot anymore because I'm too poor to be able to afford most of the ingredients. I've resigned myself to eating a lot of ramen and iceberg lettuce for a while. lol

I can cook but because it takes soooo much time (well, depending on what you're cooking I suppose) and I'd usually rather be doing something else, I'd rather not. I suppose if you have a lot of free time, cooking can be fun.

It doesnt take that long if you are able to multi-task. And are good at keeping things organized. I plan out my next meal while Im cleaning up my kitchen for the night. I make sure all my utinsels and pans are clean and ready to go for that night. Then I make sure I have all my ingredients ready for the next day, then its really a matter of throwing it all together when I get home from work.

I like to think of myself as a decent cook dispite the fact that I try and avoid doing it on a daily bacis even if I have the chance to. I grew up cooking quite a bit doing everything from canning my own fruits and vegitables to making jellies and wines, making candies and ofcourse a full array of western style foods quite a bit of which I will make from scratch. I have been known to make my own noodles from scratch on occation for various dishes though I will usualy avoid making them due to how much of a pain in the ass it is. It's dificult to say exactly what is my best dish as it usualy depends on ones own personal oppnion(personally I like biscuts and gravy from scratch the best). It wasnt to uncommon for me to "experment" ether and usualy those would turn out rather well aswell. It was always rare for someone to be disipointed in whatever I came up with.

Now admitedly I am a bit out of practice. sence joining the military the only cooking stuff im allowed to have in the barracks is a microwave, and I simply go to the defac and get food durring one of the 4 daily meals. Prior to joining the military it was simply more work than I felt it was worth to cook a meal for just myself so me and a few batchlar friends of mine got together and took turns cooking dinner for each other. I think once I get back into cooking again it wont take to long for me to get back into it

I can hardly make any good meals without a recipe(its still possible but its way to risky :p) but cooking with recipe is rarely a disaster.

Iam familiar with the most cooking techniques, spices, cutting`n stuff like that.

I could need some practice(to remember all the stuff), but way to lazy :x

Whatduya think?? ^_^

I sorta learned how to cook out of necessity with my mom not knowing how to use a timer and ended up burning 30% of what she cooked... to my dad and step mom not knowing how to cook a thanksgiving turkey (so they cook chicken), i sorta had to learn to cook just for my survival. Favorite stuff to cook are buffalo steaks and lasagna... anyone who tried my food always loves it... working at a steak house kind of helps too...

When you live out on your own you kinda have to do it, or buying fast food/restaurants will:

A. Burn a hole in your Wallet
B. You gain weight from loss of nutritional value.

I like doing it and gardening at the same time (fresh herbs are good). I'm a great Italian and Chinese cook and am usually stuck in the kitchen to cook when I come over to visit family. >.>

An update on getting some Melon Bread in the bakery I work at: I made a batch but it was only ok, I have to do alot of tweaking with the recipie to get it right. Does anyone have any recipies for it, the more I have the faster I can figure out what makes Melon bread tick.

The recipe I'm trying I found here. It's in the oven now, so I'm not sure how it'll turn out. I had to add a little water to the cookie dough part though since it was a little too dry. I'm not sure that the website I used to convert from grams of flour, sugar, butter etc. to imperial units (cups, tablespoons, etc) was perfect though, so it may have been that.

I'm the kind of person who loves cooking and have pride in having big dinner parties with 4 course meals. About the gender difference... well, i think it's absurd. It depends on the person more than in the gender.
My partner is a great cook, just yesterday he made a nice roasted lamb with red wine gravy, sauteed potatoes and an amazing salad made but hed doesn't enjoy cooking as much as me so I do most of the cooking.
When I was single (and when I'm alone) I used to eat just rice or instant noodles. I used to be about 42-45 kg when i was single and now...I weight a lot more :(

I eat a lot of cereal and sandwiches. when I want hot food, ramen or canned foods (like beans)

I can cook more but I am lazy. I also don't eat out. fast food is disgusting and restaurants cost an arm and a leg (though occasionally I will go to a restaurant, just never fast food)

and with this post my post count has increased, making me 1 post cooler than before

Can cook, but don't usually only on account of the fact that when I'm hungry I don't want to take the time to cook something or I might starve to death. Lucky for me, juvenile diabetes and high metabolism go hand in hand and thus allow me to eat alot of snack foods that would make a healthy human being want to become anorexic (or bulimic. Your choice.) haha.

I like to think I'm a pretty good cook, I always like trying new things out and make improvisions to dishes I already know, I'm nineteen and live in apartment because of college and my friend doesn't know how to cook so I'm proud I know how to cook because it seems all the other students that live around the same complex only eat instant ramen, easy mac, and take-out, which is kind of sad. lol I think everyone should know how to cook at least a little because it's seriously unhealthy to only eat fast food and take-out, plus you save a lot of money^^,
Right now I'm thinking of trying to attempt to make some bread like croissants or something

I can since I watch my parents and grandparents cook all the time. I sometimes help out too so I more or less know how to be safe, not burn my food and make it taste decent at least.

But since the kitchen is owned by my mom and grandma, I rarely cook by myself. The most I ever made was some improvised soup to feed me and my brothers when my parents were out of town. It doesn't really differ from the wonton noodles I make so that helped.
I suppose I can also make a nice steak.

So yeah, I can. If I don't have instructions I will learn as I go. Improvising here and there.

Hah i was thumbing through my old cellphone pics and i found these:

Youve heard my sob story about filipinos cant cook turkey on thanksgiving (picture 1)...
and the second one is my typical dinner when i was actually going to the gym regularly.

Casinos kind of make you lazy since the employee dining rooms feed you pretty much whatever you want for a dollar.

All that food was made by me btw

I can cook I just don't have the time. I like to cook even... I just don't want ot buy the food and not be able to cook it.

And I share an apartment with 3 other women and sometimes they cook instead which means I don't have to.

Most of the time, I want food and I would like to have it fairly quickly... so if that means I sacrifice the delicious factor for the fast and cheap factor... I don't mind sometimes.

But fast food really is terrible to have all the time... I try to at least avoid that.

I didn't answer to the poll because my answer is different--I can't and I kind of want to just for the sake of having such an important skill. I'm trying! I've gotten pretty good at egg dishes and I guess I'm not so bad with rice, either. Also I'm pretty good at following recipes as long as I understand all the vocabulary used in it. Sometimes they use strange words to describe an action or measurement.

i can cook. (ie, garlic mashed potatoes, stew, fry chicken, make omelettes, bake cookies from close to scratch, & the like)
but id rather not cook. cuz idk.. when you cook.. u actually see what u put in and how you make it.. and its not usually that appealing.. so to me, my cooking tastes a lot different than if someone else made it the exact same way i made it.

idk my psyche cant handle me making food xD
yay for other people cooking instead ^^v

I can cook, if I have detailed recipes. =P I guess I made decent food in home economics classes, since my "teammate" ate almost everything everytime before teacher could taste it. Which made my grade lower than it could've been.

I don't cook like, ever. But I don't hate it. I'm just too darn lazy. xP

Thanks to the kind teachings of my mother, I have mastered cooking a few good meals, but sadly, they never turn out as great as her cooking. I'm a mediocre cook, and my food turns out a mess...when I do make food, it's not for me - usually for the siblings. Do I like cooking? No. I don't have patience. Oh, and with baking... I'm a complete disaster. One time I mistakend gravy powder for flour, and mixed it into the chocolate chip cookie mix....COMPLETE DISASTER. No one realized it until they bit into the crumbling cookies and wondered why they tasted a bit off.
