It ended faster than I thought.

Wow, that was quite the ending. A truly compelling tale of the different lives of children and adults alike, each wondering and worrying about their respective futures. Nobody writes social angst like Asano does, and I don't think anybody ever will.

Yeah, this last chapter in particular was very strong. I think overall I wasn't as impressed by this as I was Solanin. But, this was still a solid read.

Weirdess chapter so far...

This was a fine read overall. The multiple plot lines were a hit or miss for me because some of them were indeed interesting but some weren't.

Literally my thoughts exactly. I'd even agree with your score. I was being sucked into the story until the focus switched to that creepy guy towards the end. That manga wasted tons of potential IMO...

wasn't expecting this kind of ending, but I am quite pleased.
Definitely have to re-read again.

The author’s afterword, although simple, is really touching and inspiring to me, especially due to Asano's mental health issues in that period. It’s beautiful when authors pour their souls into ours and make such a meaningful piece of art.

Well, the true ending (for Tasuku) is actually in chapter 1. I was a bit puzzled by the "director" credit at the end of the book. What's that supposed to mean?

Asano seemed to be, at this point of time, striving to convince himself of being at peace with change as the only constant in life. Very sweet.
