This.

Hopefully this story is different than the stuff Kyoani has been pushing out as of late.

I'm watching anime is not to solve the puzzle. If so, I had plenty of puzzle games to do so, and surprisingly more intellectual than "No Country for Old Men".

KyoAni have been pulling off the greatest and the smartest way of adapting raw materials into a tube. Be it LN, VN, 4koma or not-so-4koma, they always do their best to reach the highest grade of quality product (Endless 8 is not an exception) and the smartest way to craft the storyline.

And look, I know why other ppl getting so desperate over KyoAni's works as of late. Because their favorites-super-smart-ass-show got beaten hard be it in the popularity, sales or in *coughawardcough* by something as superficial as 4koma adaptation.

Well, what can I say besides "U MAD?"? And this new title (Hyouka), I bet it won't going too far from Haruhi's circle (High School, club, eccentric characters, etc).

What the hell are you talking about?

As for this show, I'm glad it's not another comedy series. I was hoping Kyoani would try to adapt Little Busters, since they were on such a roll with Key anime a few years back, but I can live with this.

I'm not sure how your whole post (maybe aside from the first sentence) has anything to do with the topic... but if you're watching anime is to "do" what the anime is doing, then you're watching it wrong. (Uninstall the internet?)

Now, on topic:

From the synopsis, it definitely sounds like Ghost Hunt-similar stuff. I personally am not too interested in the detective type of shows, but the characters and their development might be interesting to watch due to its settings; lots of ways to expand. The art also looks pretty, I always love playing HD/BD quality anime on my big screen regardless if it's a crappy show or not <:3~

If the animation and art is as good as K-ON, I'll watch. I just hope it has at least some sort of decent storyline.

Due to the choice of seiyuus (Nakamura Yuuichi-sama), the scriptwriter and the rest of the staff, I may watch it...

Now, I only need my Little Busters!
And maybe Rewrite, but I'm not sure...
I'm the king... of Fujoshi Land!!

I hope Key would be able to contract KyoAni in 2013 or 2014. I'm getting tired by Kadokawa almost monopolizing the industry.

Yūichi Nakamura
Satomi Satou
Daisuke Sakaguchi
Ai Kayano

All of my favorites seiyuu are gathered. So looking forward to this.

According to ANN, the cast will be :

Yūichi Nakamura (Oreimo's Kyōsuke) as Hōtarō Oreki
Satomi Satou (K-ON's Ritsu) as Eru Chitanda
Daisuke Sakaguchi (Clannad's Yōhei) as Satoshi Fukube
Ai Kayano (AnoHana's Menma) as Mayaka Ibara

So Tomoya and Yohei from clannad will be reunited!! XD

3/4 of those characters are in my favourite list so yep, I'm definitely in.

Glad that Satomi Sato will be voicing as a main character again. I love her, and I hope we will get to hear her cute laugh in the anime! <3

Interested. It seems to be about mystery which is a genre I don't watch too much and it has great seiyuus like Nakamura or Sakaguchi. They again seem to be good friends this time on their roles (well, I don't know if you could say Sunohara was a friend or servant of Tomoya).

As Another has expertly shown us, mysteries tend to either blow our minds [in the best possible way] or ruin our tolerance for tedium and melodrama.

Here's hoping that KyoAni can keep their shit together on this.

It's been forever since I've watched a KyoAni series, so I'm going to give this one a try. I've just been waiting for KyoAni to make another decent, serious series like Haruhi Suzumiya or Clannad AS and not another random slice-of-life moe show like Lucky Star or K-On.

It's still on http://countdown.mandragon.info/upcoming1.html. Hasn't been moved to "Current" yet, since it starts airing on April 23 in Japan according to the official website.
