Sentinel. You get to be an Engineer who uses the force, so that's cool. Plus you have tons of shielding. In the first, while you had only light armor, you could use barrier AND boost your shield with electronics. Mass Effect 2 made the sentinel a ridiculous juggernaut, because by removing armor classes, suddenly they have TWICE the shielding as any other class, and a way to instantly restore it.

Of the two games, ME2 felt like a slap-chop to the face compared to the first. The game itself felt rushed, as it seemed like someone took a cookie cutter to the game. Did anyone actually like the Normandy/Firewalker missions? Or the mining? Sure, ME1's Mako wasn't great, but at least it was slightly entertaining. As for the plot, it was just Shepard getting a team together, it seemed almost like the whole game was a prologue leading up the main game, and it just ends when you feel like you've finished the tutorial and want to start playing the main game. The combat was just ducking behind a crate and spamming the shit out of what you had while you regenerate like some Call of Duty game.

In ME1, I went around with Liara and Ashley, while in ME2 it was Grunt/Thane, Grunt/Zaeed, Grunt/Legion.

Mass Effect 2
Favorite class: Infiltrator
Favorite weapon: any sniper will do =D
Favorite squadmates: Grunt, Garrus, Samara

Usual RPG combination I usually use, Tanker to pull the enemies attention and hold the line, Samara as "disabler", crowd control, Garrus as damage dealer. I swap between sniper or mid range fighter depending the situation.

I don't know which I liked better... as far as I'm concerned they're one game almost. If anything I prefer the gameplay of ME2, and found the first game to be a bit clunky afterwards although I still love it for its story. It's hard to pick favorites because you can't have one without the other I know PS3 users only had ME2 but... you people confuse me. xD I don't know how you do it. The game would feel so incomplete to me.

I don't remember which class I was, but I used the Sniper Rifle like it was my job. In the first game my strategy was to go charging in shooting every which way like a moron. In ME2 I took up the sniper role and just sat in the background. It was awesome.

In the first game I used Garrus and Tali. Sometimes I switched one of them out for Wrex because he's amazing in every single way. ME2 I used Thane and Tali, because I wanted to marry them both.

I'm sorry fellas. But Tali and I are already happily married. She's my girl yo. :o I think I hate almost every other female character besides her and my Femshep. Especially Ashley. Screw Ashley.

I'd probably say I prefer ME1, especially since ME2's story was a bit bleh and some of the characters felt like they were forced into it without much of a point, leading you to do their missions, talking to them a couple of times and then forgetting about them. It could probably have been made more interesting if you had more story missions against the Collectors where you had to make different teams and assign characters to certain roles like in the final mission.
On the other hand, ME2 had a lot of awesomely epic moments that weighed up for it's weaker story, plus some of the background story missions to the team members were really good.

I always just picked the easy option and played soldier, blasting everything with whatever best assault rifle I could get.

Favourite characters would be Tali, Wrex and Garrus. And while he didn't have much in way of a interesting background, Zaeed was so awesomely badass he often got a place in the team. Similarly, Grunt was quite cool as well.

-Soldier
-assault rifles (HMWA Master and M-76 Revenant) , some of the heavy weapons like the Collector Particle Beam, the M-490 Blackstorm and the Arc Projector
-Tali (I was one of the legion of fans that wondered why she wasn't a romance option in the first game, then the 2nd came and we all rejoiced. Stealth pun may or may not have been intentional. lol) Miranda (simply because of Yvonne Strahovski lol), Liara

Its bioware. You don't go looking for an enthralling story or awesome uber innovative interface, you play it for the characters.

Infiltrator.
M-97 Viper.
Garrus and Legion.

Honestly this game series has to be one of my all time favorites simply because of the universe and all the lore/back story there is available.

MAL is the dark underbelly of the anime community. While other naive fanboys and fangirls run around in real life forming clubs and squealing in deafening high pitch noises about their favourite animus, we remain here, meticulously dismantling the credibility of each and every show, until all that remains is a steaming pile of tropes and ass pulls which we then devour to gratiyfy our glutinous and masochistic desires.

You know i don't think anyone ever brought this up, but what in the hell are they going to do bout the PS3 version of mass effect 3. People are going to be pissed off that they will not be able to access all of the story lines and multiple endings, etc, because the first game only being available on the xbox 360.

Its just kind of weird that they have not announced a PSN downloadable mass effect game yet.

They have already solved that problem with you choosing the major options at the beginning of 2 if you didn't have a save of the 1st one. And the same will probably happen at the beginning of the 3rd.

I think Linkbro is saying that the same kind of immersion is irrevocably impossible on the PS3. Yes, an itneractive DLC is quite ncie to help fill the gap, but the 3rd will also calculate MINOR (not just major) choices in the game. i.e. How you dealt with Conrad, whether or not you actively tried to help that Maw survivor, et cetera.

Played both, loved ME2

Favorite class would be Adept. I love tossing enemies around like ragdolls!

As for squadmates, from the beginning Garrus and Tali but I also enjoyed having Jack (she reminds me of Revy for some reason) on my team. Legion (Commander Shepard's #1 Fanboy) was also fun to get to know.

It could be good if they said '' You should do all the mission before the 'Retrieve IFF Mission ' if you want to save all the crew members . '' I had to get 2-3 people's loyalty missions (My paragon level not high enough to get through Jack/Miranda fight ) after they abducted them . So I didn't now you can only do 1 mission after IFF one which should be legion's loyalty mission , I lost half of my crew :( Now I have to replay and save them all ..

Same thing with why people played Starcraft 2 but didn't play Starcraft 1. Maybe they just missed the first game, like me. I missed ME1 and played ME2 because my friend suggested it to me.

There's also another reason: Some people (not me) have a PS3 console, wich some how got the ME2 first than the ME1 adaptation. So they play the second and there's no reason to play the ME1 since a lot of what happened is explained in the seccond verison (including the virtual comming wich allows you to make the grand desicions of the first game)

-Played ME and ME 2 and loved them both(Though I prefer the story from ME1, since ME2 had so little plot that it was laughable imo~ But I like how we get to know the characters more in ME2, so it didn't really bother me that much).

-My favorite and only class will always be Vanguard. Maybe I'll try Adept after ME3 is out with a complete new Shepard and see if I like it. But the other classes never really interested me much.

-Hmm, my favorite weapon would be the M-12 Locust and I also really like the Arc Projector.

-Garrus, Wrex, Legion, Kasumi, Samara and Tali are my favorite squadmates.
