I don't really watch anything of a specific genre as long as they're appropriate for them.

And if you ask me, I usually watch it with kids since I'm still pretty [TOO] young to hang out with the grown... OH, I think I can! I have a couple of grown people as my best friends but I hardly ever watch anime with them.

All my friends are really ignorant about anime, so I watch it alone.

I rarely watch anime with friends but when we do watch it together its usually different fights from Dragon Ball Z as well as some of the DBZ and Naruto movies

Something from which you could easily develop a drinking game!

Only theoretical though, don't have friends.

I've watched Haruhi and K-ON! with a friend of mine. I generally watch more anime than any of my friends, but I still share a lot of shows in common with them. Usually it's a case of me watching a show, liking it, and telling them to watch it. But really I only watch things with the friend I live with. Occasionally I'll walk in and he's watching some episode I've already seen, so I may sit down and watch a bit of it with him. So, really any genre is fine to watch together. Even ecchi (because it can be funny).

Just watched Death Note with my friend, he doesn't watched anime and REALLY likes it. I think it's a good series to introduce people to anime with c:

Never tried watching it with a friend because hey, 3/4 of them just like Naruto and haven't moved on yet. If I were to watch with them I'd get bored to death and if I watch anything else with them they'd just refuse.

It's really rare for me to watch animes with anyone else, but sometimes I go to a friend's place, and if he's watching something, I'll not bother and watch it him, be it ecchi, comedy, harem, action, mystery, whatever it is.
But if I had to choose, it would be something with comedy and action. Fullmetal Panic is a great one.

I don't really watch anime together with friends, but when we do, it's usually comedy ones.

From time to time, I've also watched stuff with my childhood friend who watches American shows more. She really loves cute anime like Hanamaru Kindergarten and Ponyo. The Ghibli movies are pretty good to watch with friends/relatives.

Comedies and light shows :) wouldn't want anything too emotional.
I watch alot of anime movies with friends. It seems like the best way to entertain a group without boring them with 10+episodes of anime(more than 4 hours)

I enjoyed watching stuff like melancholy and lucky star with friends though.

I haven't met with these friends in over a year, but I went through high school with them and we'd always have anime on Adult Swim if it was on that night. Aside from that I can remember bringing some DBZ and Yu Yu Hakusho to watch once or twice, and just watching Black Lagoon and Outlaw Star with some friends on occasion...

Watched Ayashi no Ceres with my friend a few years back, we lol'd at how bad it was.

Watched Romeo x Juliet, we raged at how Tybalt got very little screen time when he was the only good thing about that anime.

Watched Saiunkoku Monogatari, we lol'd at how gay Ryuuki can get.

Watched Red Garden,

Watched beginning of Utena, that was . . . interesting.

Watched Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged version, Yu-Gi-Oh was never the same . . .

I've watched Golden Boy with so many people that I've lost count. It's how I've gotten a lot of my friends into anime.

Nerima Daikon Brothers was really fun to watch with friend. Having sing alongs and just marveling at the weirder aspects is just enjoyable.

High School of the Dead is a fun one to play count the panty shot or a drinking game with friends to.

I tried watching with people but it didn't work out so well, for one I didn't like what they watch. I'd like to watch all the friendship anime like Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha with friends though haha.

I tried to get some of my friends to watch Naruto with me. I first tried a comedy episode, dramatic episode, and then I went for an action packed one. They didn't seem all that into it. I don't know why, I love Naruto!!

Me and some friends marathoned Nichijou in one night, and they weren't even into anime, but it was one of our best days ever.

No Game No Life.

An amazing anime to watch with your friends. I watched with my sister and we were just laughing together with no sign of stopping while watching. It's a really funny anime, perfect to be watching it with friends.

I don't have any friends in real life who are regular anime watchers. So I've always watched anime alone.

My friends from high school weren't nearly as into anime as I was, but we watched the crap out of Golden Boy. So funny...
