I gave up on Horizon after four episodes because I just couldn't get into it at all. The story and characters were all over the place (for me). Therefore, I don't expect I will be watching this one either.

I hated Horizon at first, because of its sloppy directing and writing.
After episode 2 I found the wikia, and read through it. And whenever I didn't get something from episode 3 and onwards, I would look it up and the wikia.
After all the backrgound research, I finally started to enjoy Horizon after episode 5 and onwards. I'm kind of glad I didn't drop it. The wikia has been a great help.

So yeah, I'll watch the second season.

Still can't forgive Sunrise for their not-so-optimal approach to this show.

Well, good thing they didn't decide to only animate the prologue.
It is, despite popular opinion, a quite enjoyable show, after all.

Besides, it's got the most glorious cast in recent anime history, so it'd be sad to just let it end.
All that's missing in the cast is some KitaEri, but I guess I can't have everything.
Protip: I don't really check the forums anymore, so if you want something, take it on my profile.
Is it time for my long-awaited return to the forums? щ(゚Д゚щ) Nope™, probably not.

Not happy about this, there are a lot of series that are better and that deserve a second season... not sure if I'm going to watch...

Yes! I actually loved Horizon from the first few episodes. Before watching, I'd seen the previews showing dozens of flashy characters and heard the rumor that Horizon was "impossible to adapt". So I came in with extremely low expectations, not expecting to get to know any of the characters or understand the plot, but just to have fun with it and enjoy the action and visuals.

And oh man, has Horizon delivered. It's been a great ride so far. Can't wait for the second season!

I'm still watching it but its not that interesting at all. The main character is more like a sidekick to the supporting characters.

If you think there's a main character, you're not watching it correctly.

Horizon is the show I look forward to the most every week, despite having quite possibly the worst story-telling and plot I've ever seen in anime.

It's the style of the Anime. I didn't get anything at first too. Im ready to drop it but after watching episode 5 the Anime makes more sense. Im not really surprised by the season 2 because 13 episodes lacks if they are gonna tell the whole story. There are to many characters too consider for a 13 episodes series.

Oh, if they're going to tell the whole story, I'd reckon we're going to need more than just two seasons. ( ¬‿¬)

If they'd decided this after they found out that nearly everyone hates the first season then I'd be raging right now. Now I'm just disappoint. I think there are lots of other shows that need new seasons besides this, and that's coming from someone who doesn't hate it and plans on finishing it after it's done airing.

Watched episode 1 and never went back. Only thing I enjoyed was the art and character designs cause I had no idea what the hell they were talking about. I did like the main guy though. I might watch this after the first season is over.

Preorder numbers suggest otherwise.

Western fandom once again thinking its opinion is relevant to decisions made by Japanese companies in Japan... will they ever realize?

This.

Though honestly, I'm excited. I'm definitely enjoying Horizon.

2000 PAGES!!!!!!!!

That's over 4x the pages in most manga magazines and those are all from different manga as well, the number of pages is a turn off to me especially because most LN volumes don't have more than 500 pages max. I'd lose interest if I had to read a single LN volume that's more than a dictionary long.

WHY???

Its based on a best selling novel, so its not surprising they are trying to milk it for all its worth. Its already projected to be one of the top 3-4 sellers of this season.

I thought Horizon was just a waste of time for me, I liked the characters & setting, and the fights were good, but it was just that the plot was a clusterfuck and it got really boring.

We can't say this second season is "milking" already.
Besides, the confirmation of a second season has been announced before the first episode of the first season even aired.

QFT

For those still confused on "WHY????", You just need to watch more, There's a reason why the LN is still ongoing with 7 volumes, and each volumes has around 2000 pages.

Honest'y, don't blame this anime for getting "another" season, blame why the other companies never "green-lighted" any sequel for your favorite anime. Horizon getting a 2nd season doesn't mean that it's killing the possibilities of other anime getting a 2nd season.

If you don't like it, then ignore it.

Okay folks,

So here's my two cents.

$0.01) I'm definitely looking forward to the second season. Seeing as episodes 1-9 occur in a the span of a mere 2 days, they definitely need more time to develop the story. It's true, it is incredibly complicated. That said, I have a lot of interest in it, and I can grasp what's going on. I'm on episode 10 at the moment. I enjoy this series.

$0.01) I compare this series to Evangelion. My comparison has absolutely nothing to do with subject matter, character design, pacing, voice acting, source material, etc., etc., etc. This series is similar to Evangelion in that: Some like the series, and some hate it with a passion.

Just two pennies, so feel free to leave them on the street and keep walking.
Or pick 'em up.

Just wanted to leave them here.

Reviews by fans on a Western website has nothing to do with how Japanese fans perceive it. We both have different standards of whats good and bad.
I remember some Japanese site had Railgun, Toradora, K-On, Angel Beats and some other of that Otaku stuff in its top 10 fan review scores, for instance. Thats why stuff like that is made.

the top 3 series i wait for every week are
1. Fate/zero
2. Kyoukai senjou no Horizon
3. Shakugan no Shana III (Final)
all are LN

why? cause i like stories that brings first the build up then the....... okay, i just like slow moving anime cause i like the dialogues and brings me a better understanding of that series world and not just the characters. And at late series i get to enjoy the whole series with a good understanding of the whole deal in a very satisfied way.

Looks like the majority of the people dropped it? I put it on hold after episode 2.

Huh...... Is this doing well at all? It's one of the only Mecha Light Novels really. But I think I might have a better time with IS Season 2.

BTW. IS is A GREAT SERIES!!!!!!! THE ANIME WAS JUST BADLY HANDLED!!!!
