| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- An idol girl. Her song is the OP this ep.! "True Story" by Rie Kugimiya? She quitted idol work and transferring to the same school. Glasses for camouflage, and the guy followed her to return her cellphone. She's doing the part-time in tofu shop. She's the next victim? Police uncle is suspecting of the guys for knowing about the case. They found a suspicious otaku guy following idol girl and caught him. Idol girl ripping off magazine with her photos and saying they don't know the real her. Manager doesn't want her quit her idol job. "Manami"?? Police uncle doesn't want the guy to involve. Saving the idol girl next ep. |

| Once I saw those two twintails I wet my pants, lol. Also, those "RISECHII" chants.. Now that Rise has been introduced, I think Chie is still the best "looking" so far in the anime, second would be Rise(although she looks a bit older) and I still can't get behind Yukiko's animation.. I expected some type of singing like that in this episode, due to Rie Kugimiya and Rise's obvious Idol role. Didn't like it as much as the original OP, but nice touch for a Rise arc start. ROFL @ Stalker Yuu, lmao....At first, I thought it was Naoto..Which looks like they cut out... That whole Yosuke/Chie skirt scene had me rolling.....JIRAIYA!!! lmao. Dojima's suspicious/pissed off face is incredibly hilarious to me.. I desperately await Aika's social link in future episodes, if she has one.. I f'en LOL'd @ the "all out" attack on Risette's stalker, lmao. This show is too damn funny... Yu can basically make paper cranes out of nowhere/anything~ And - The first "Narukami-senpai" of the season.. I wonder how many "SENPAI!" awaits us...Honestly, kinda weird to hear "Narukami-senpai" and not just "Senpai"... No Lover's Arcana, so they could be doing it how it is in the game...Which means star arcana first.. Hope Yu was recording the Mid-Night channel... And now, my favorite Shadow/Dungeon awaits next episode...blah, the long wait...Also looked like Yu had a bit more expression this episode..Or it probably was just the last episode that threw me off with all his emotionless stares, lol... Thought the pacing was good for how much things Rise's arc had, made it all fit nicely, IMO. So even with the slight changes, I enjoyed this episode, probably the "better" introduction between her and Kanji, since Kanji's was kinda rushed and less serious, looking back now - I felt it should have been taken a bit more seriously... Need subs. |

| I've been waiting for this episode and boy did I enjoy it. Aside from Rise being my favorite girl, what I liked about this episode is how they actually had Rise and Yu spend some time together (paper cranes man), and they even showed a bit of her S.Link, before she was even kidnapped! They gave Rise a reason to fall in love, unlike the game where Rise pretty much just falls heads over heels for Narukami immediately after she's rescued...just because he's the protagonist. |
| It was another interesting episode to watch with the new character Rise introduced. (it felt like Kujikawa Rise was a personification of Kugimiya Rie. Note the similarity of their names as well as their flat-chestedness... :P) On the other hand, it was quite disappointing to find out that the animation quality from AIC studio has been frankly quite terrible in this particular episode. During conversation scenes between the main characters, some character's faces were completely motionless for like 30 secs even without a blink of eyes and their lips often didn't sync right with their lines. I wonder what kind of third-party company is AIC outsouring the douga department from? :S |

I have to say, the Rise/Yu scene at school when he grabbed her hand, was pretty sweet. I still prefer the 3 Kouhai's together though, lol. | Wow. Rise's got a Clark Kent proof disguise right there. Pop on some glasses and you're totally a different person. Also, I think I like this Rise more than the game Rise. Although her voice will definitely annoy me. Anywho, nice ep. Can't wait to see Rise's dungeon. It'll probably get censored to a certain extent too. |
| I had to wait a while to see it, but it was honestly worth the wait! Rise Kujikawa + Rie Kugimya = AMAZING. She does a fantastic job with Rise here. She was great in the Japanese version of the game, even better in the anime! I like this role for her better than any of her 'Four Tsundere Wonders' roles, and that's saying something. I just thought I'd get that out of the way first. A really nice setup episode. The OP change kind of took me by surprise, but it was a welcome change. I loved how Yousuke was constantly fangasming over Rise, and the ensuing hilarity over Chie's legs (Jiraiya!). Adachi does a really good job of mostly being useless. Dojima, on the other hand, plays his hard-ass role to the hilt. I loved Yukiko's reference to Chie as a 'Chie Pet'. The 'All-Out Attack' by Chie, Yosuke, and Kanji against the paparazzi guy was unexpected, but really awesome. Aika was amazing as usual, I can't wait for her future appearances. The only thing that really bothered me: animation quality took a huge hit in this episode. Seems like they do a worse job in the real world as opposed to the TV (Shadow) World. I mean, I realize this isn't a big-budget anime to begin with, but there's no excuse for the inconsistency. ASTA needs to pay these people and get it cleaned up, or at least be a bit more consistent between the two worlds. Pacing was pretty good this episode. 4.5/5. Next week is Rise's Shadow Dungeon! Oh wow! Next week can't come soon enough for me! |

| Notice how unanimated these guys are in the scene they sit at Junes discussing stuff on rainy day, they only "activate" when they speak. Kanji is drawn especially poorly through this episodes, at some point I might even include him into the 4chan meme faces pantheon. Poor Kugimiya, probably her 1st major not tsundere role after so many trashy ones. It wont convince anyone. Well, poor luck there. |

Haha I have to agree there - in episode eight his face was constantly being fucked around with. On a brighter note - this episode was great! The opening song being replaced was nice for a change, and the pacing was great considering the content got through. The first meeting of Yu and Rise was predictable - guy wearing a school uniform following her *remembers episode 6 where Yu picks something up Kanji drops on the floor* - oh right, it has to be him trailing her for a similar reason. Yu: "You suck" to Rise was fantastic, as was the pervy moment with Yosouke and Chie. Adachi's role in this was abit random, but I guess they had to squeeze him in. He's a bigger fool in the anime than in the game! He didn't even seem aware that Rise may be being targeted unlike in the game where he so subtly says "we're waiting for you, you bastard" outside the Tofu shop. He also slipped way to much out about being ordered to follow Yu and co. Adachi is dumb, but not THAT dumb! Also - where was the cabbage in that meal he ordered >.< !!! (overly unnecessarily grandiose fanboi reaction) Episode - 5/5 :D can't wait for the next one. |

Hmm, I thought episode's 8 animation was the best so far. I dunno about that, people are always picking out flaws in animes. I don't necessarily point it out all the time, cause I wanna enjoy Persona 4 to the fullest. There's just some quite "noticeable" animation faults. I honestly don't really care as long as the story/character interactions stays the same though. |

I don't really care about the studio's salary problem or what not, and it certainly wasn't influencing how the animation looked to me. Just watch from the 06:58 to 08:03.. It just alternates between two views over and over gain, while the lips (which is the only thing moving in the picutre) isn't even syncing with the character's lines. That was one of the most boring one minute I had to endure.. I usually don't complain about low-budget animations when they're handled correctly, but this particular episode stood out in a pretty bad way... |

| Uwahh... T___T poor Rise... I was sort of surprised how low her voice is compared to the game. I always found Kugimiya's Rise in the game was still rather high-pitched compared to the anime's Rise, but I like it a lot better this way. Narukami-kun... normally when someone drops their cellphone, you should speak up... instead of stalking the person =.='... The animation didn't really bother me too much... I usually only notice those type of flaws when I rewatch it. I'm usually too engrossed in the story unless it is blatantly ugly. |

| Average episode, I think. :| Although there was some funny moments like group attack on the stalker - it really made me laugh. And yea, I think too that 8th episode was the funniest so far. Overall, little has happened. Geez, I can't wait! The next ep will be finally Lovers Arcana. I wonder how her dungeon will look in the anime version. And the Star Arcana will come too. |

| Not really a Rise fan so wasn't really expecting much. Have to say, though, the epsiode was great. I enjoyed it quite a bit, anyway. They did a pretty good job at handling Rise and her situation. Only thing I really didn't like was Rise's song, which was hideous. |

Haha, I took a screenshot of the exact same thing xP Anyway, I agree that the animation quality was off, but I liked the storytelling in this episode. The move of a good chunk of the stuff from Rise's SLink to before her shadow works better than the game, I think. I always found the party member SLinks awkward because of the way they seemed to jump back a little and forget whatever revelation they made because of their shadows. |

If I had to suspect one it would be Dojima given his unusual anger at the MC for interfering. Adachi is just too stupid lol. I'd say it's impossible to make an educated guess as to who is kidnapping them all. No one really stands out as suspicious to me. |
| The conversations in the show are always the best. Yukiko is always in her own little world. Lol'd at Yu asking if the other two guys are the killers after the girls pointed out how suspicious they are stalking Rise. |
