I don't see myself re-watch any show that relies on plot twists and (or) has sad ending.

Interesting, I just finished the series not to long ago and thought about re-watching it. Totally could understand why though, you know basically everything about everything in that show if you try and re-watch it. Still I would probably enjoy the first season again at least.

Going through the comments though, it is interesting hearing people mention Grave of the Fireflies. I bought the DVD in December of last year, and just about a month ago I re-watched it for the second time. It would have been more emotional if my brother hadn't walked in, asking what the hell I'm watching. Talking about spoiling the moment. But yeah you wouldn't want to watch a movie like Grave of the Fireflies 10 times in a week... that would lose the appeal it has. It's one of those "watch-once-a year-type of movies".

But for me it would be the long ones, Monster, (although it would probably be the only long one that I would re-watch) NANA, and others that I can't think of right now.

I have no clue if this topic was already made but here we go! (If it was feel free to lock this thread mods!)

So basically name some Animes you have watched, and really enjoyed, but wouldn't want to watch it again.

2 Animes from the top of my head are Clannad After Story and Tokyo Magnitude 8.0. Both are in my top 10 but I wouldn't want to watch it again. I just feel it wouldn't be the same... if I did. =s

same i feel like when i watched clannad after story once ive seen it all o_O

I suppose Gurren Lagann. It's well written, animated, characters, and all that, to where it more than deserves a very high rating. But not really the type of genre I hold particular interest in.

Honey & Clover Season 1 - I actually see myself maybe rewatching this in the future if I ever get it on DVD (or if there is an English dub), although it is a veeeeeery low priority.

Kaiji is definitely a show I would never re-watch (although I did enjoy it). But if there is an english dub, I might watch it again.

None come to mind. Every completed anime that I thought was fkin amazin, I've already watched at least 2 times and longer ongoing anime I've rewatched various individual episodes.

Mahou Shoujo Madoka, it's just that I don't think it will have the same impact the second time

Of course it won't. You can never have the first time back but repeated watchings allow people to catch details or nuances they overlooked the first time, which for some can be even better than the first time.

Ga-Rei Zero is one of my favorite anime ever, I loved the story and Yomi. but when
I couldn't stand it. I even bought the blu-ray/dvd combo pack only out of love for the show, but I probably won't watch that show ever again.

Clannad too, it's just too sad, even though I like Fuuko and her shouting starfish all day, I can't watch that one again.

This. I can't cry all of those tears again.

And Neon Genesis Evangelion, too. I have a strong feeling I would start to dislike this anime if I watched it again.

Rainbow Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin, it was an amazing show but almost painful to watch most of the time, it's hard to watch people suffer so much. I wouldn't be able to watch it again.

None really stick out as "I wouldn't watch it again." Because everyone anime I completed was because it was amazing and I could rewatch again. The ones I couldn't were the ones I eventually dropped.

I think that Steins;gate was pretty amazing but it wouldn't be something i would want to watch again. Most of the fun in watching Steins;gate was learning about time travel and watching how they used it in their situation.Already knowing what was happening and what was going to happened would ruin the main point of the anime, which was to suspense and surprise. i would definitely recommend it but i wouldn't watch it again

I'm going to agree with Grave of the Fireflies. Amazing, touching story (heart-rending), and for that reason, I can never watch it again.

I wouldn't be able to re-watch Steins;Gate again, or Clannad After Story. Re-watching ef - a tale of melodies was extremely upsetting, and I only did it because my sister wanted to watch it with me.

If it's something like FLCL where it left me going, what is this I don't even... then yeah, I'd definitely watch it again at some point.

I'm still lazy though. Once is good enough for me in most cases, even if I really liked it.

I could never rewatch any series, movie, or reread any book or manga, it just never appeals to me, and I always feel that I got everything out of it the first time around. With the exception of Angel Beats! It was nearly as good the second time.

I can rewatch quite a bit of shows, especially my favorites.

Mainly because I'm able to pick up a lot more during my second viewing, and helps me love the show even more ^_^

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. It was pretty good, but I'm sure a lot of the entertainment comes from not knowing what is next(this is true of almost all anime), even if it is not a suspense anime.
