| This ep has been a long time coming, a man to man talk between Renton and Holland. This is the first time Diane's face has been exposed so clearly, though it's in Holland's flashback. Finally, Holland has finally told Renton of his sister's relationship with him and her last moments before her apparent disappearance. Took you a while didn't it? Holland really has come around since back when his only nature is to abused kids, particularly Renton. Now that he has come to terms with the fact that Renton is Eureka's partner, the air around these two guys are calmer. How lovely, it's such a pleasing moment to see Eureka asking Gidget how to wear makeup for Renton's sake. It's a nice, wholesome little ambition to appear more appealing to the person she loves. There's just one thing... Your motivation is appreciatable, however, your execution is utterly abysmal! I am not kidding, the amount of second-hand embarrassment I got seeing Eureka reveal her overly-vibrant makeup was unreal. The fact that she's doing this for Renton, yet exposing her makeup to a majority of the crew members made it all that much more painful to watch. I physically cringed at this supposedly comedic scene more than I ever have in the past 36 eps to the point that I cannot move on from that one scene alone. It's with no exaggeration that I sincerely hope for Eureka to apply as minimal makeup as possible. She's already cute the way she is, just need an adorable hairstyle to match her beauty, not some clown cosplay face paint fiasco mess on her face. Kinda weird how Holland is really interested in Renton's progress with Eureka, watch what you say. I'm loving the dynamics between them more now though, a gigantic leap of advancement from the state of their relationship in the past. |
