Should I continue watching Naruto? I have seen 20 episodes and am not facinated by it. I was thinking of replacing it with dragonball (the original version) or another alternative.

Does Naruto get more interesting?

Should I replace it with dragonball?

Thanks people :)

no stop now, it only goes down hill after the first season.
It doesn't think, it doesn't feel, it doesn't laugh or cry..... All it does from dusk till dawn is make the soldiers die.

Cool guys thanks for the advice. I am going to wait for at least 20 votes but I think most will be negative.

So, should I watch dragonball anyway, is it any good?

So how good is the first season? If the first season is fine then the second season doesn't change that.
If that's the case he shouldn't start DB because everything went downhill after Namek...Cell...Buu...GT, I am sure someone out there will agree with one of those.

I'm pretty sure Dragon Ball Z is only popular due to it being very popular as most people grew up. It also has some funny references. If I were you, I wouldn't touch either, and go for some shorter anime. If you prefer longer ones, I'd recommend Fairy Tail. It's been good so far :D

Thanks for the advice. I am not particullarly into long animes (I actually prefer shorter ones). The truth is that I feel I need to feel like I have watched some 'mainstream' or 'big' animes if you get what i mean ;)

Well considering the fact that he doesn't like Season 1 to begin with, then he would most likely dislike Season 2 more if it's a decline from that.

Call me lazy if you like but I can't be bothered to watch One Piece and get up to date.

I have added Skull Man to my list though ;)

How is it you can like Bleach but not Naruto? They're pretty much the same with certain things swapped. Naruto actually has more strategy based fights, especially Shikamaru's fights, unlike Bleach where it's basically who ever has the strongest attack pretty much wins... like Dragonball Z/GT (not Dragonball) but with swords.

I don't watch either Bleach or Naruto. I use to. I don't hate either of them, I just don't want to watch them.

If your wanting a Shounen series, go watch Hunter x Hunter then watch the new remade series that's currently airing.

I watched beyond Shippuden and just started the manga from where I left off.. Manga is better IMO.

Though some of the fights are probably worth watching.

It gets better, either way.

If you are going in for a long running anime I'd vote One Piece as well.

I'll be picking up Gintama myself soon enough, though, based on how much people seem to love it.

Normal naruto was ok, shippuuden a bit worse but still good.
For now, fillers kill me so if you are in the middle-watch it if close to 23x ep just wait and watch it later on after those fillers.

I won't call you lazy but I will say you are a bit confused.
Naruto is 220 episodes and there is a second series that takes up the story right after Naruto ends, it's called Naruto Shippuden that has 234 episodes and counting. That's only 50 or so episodes less than the count of One Piece but both are still adding to their episode counts. OP just never had a name change.
Even though it has ended, meaning the episode count does not grow, the Dragon Ball still has 500 episodes across all of it's series.

So if you planned on watching Naruto or DB then length or catching up isn't really an issue. Plus only one episode airs per week so if you wanted to catch up all you need to do is watch more than one episode per week. OMG 2 episodes of anime per week.

Wait. Normal Naruto or Naruto Shippuuden?
If it's the normal, you should continue. In my opinion it's really good, it's what got me into anime for real.
The soundtrack is cool and so are the fights, i really enjoyed overall.
If it's Shippuuden i don't even know what to talk about since i don't watch it for ages, it got damn boring.

ok. I know alot of people hate Naruto. I personally hate all those stupid kids that give it a bad name. Those Narutards. Now with that being said, Naruto was the first anime I seriously started watching and getting into. And although I won't say its the best show out there I think it has a lot of redeeming qualities. I have watched the show from the beginning and just today caught up on the most recent episodes. I can for sure say that even though It's very drawn out and sometimes it's fillers get annoying it is still a show worth watching. The first season really wasn't that good. I remember going back and seeing it after i was already on like Shippuden episode 100. I laughed. The first season seemed so poorly made compared to the later seasons. It definitely does get much better in my opinion.

I watched Naruto, didn't really like it even though I watched the entire first season.
I vote One Piece too.
