| I hope the author does something better with this time skip than to guilt trip the characters. Maybe the author is trying to be meta and point out the effects a time skip would have on people, seeing almost every major shounen title seems to have one, seriously doubt it though. But i guess the author is just going to wrap up a few loose ends before the arc's major plot kicks in. |

| I felt bad for Lucy, but I'm glad the letter gave her closure. Ah, Makarov. So that's how you deal with debtors. The look on his face was awesome. And then to see Mira and Erza gear up. Priceless. Loved that part. I have to wonder what's next though. |

| Ye it was sad when she read that letter and I knew that her dad paid off her 7 year debt. Next chapter probably going to be a regular mission just like those at the beginning of the series. |

| Horrible chapter, what are the fucking odds that two girls would walk by badmouthing their fathers when Lucy just visited the grave of hers? Also, who didn't see the end coming from a mile away? "Derrr, I can't cry, maybe I hated my father" Odds she will cry at the end of the chapter? Terrible writer is terrible. |

| hardcore drama. lol. At least better than the last chapter, which was a trolling time skip :D Lucy sure is pitiful, though I am much more excited with new enemies and stuff. But aren't they really really weak right now? I mean other mages should have gotten stronger those 7 years. |

| I'm still not convinced about this whole time skip, but poor Lucy. I feel bad for her. :( I just can't really see where the story is going at this point. I guess I'll just wait and see what happens. Although I still wouldn't be surprised if they somehow travel back in time once this is over. |
| Really sad chapter (I teared up a little T_T) but with this hopeful tone to it ^^ It's actually surprising (in a good way) seeing Natsu being considerate [and a little emo] ;) The part with Mira and Erza gearing up was great :] Now I'm waiting to see what happend with the world (and other characters like Jellal) during those 7 years... and what is sabertooth? |

I'm still waiting for Mashima to give a uber good explanation for the pointless timeskip. Twilight Ogre, self proclaimed No.1 guild in Magnolia Town turned out to be fodder. It really was overkill though. I think Erza could've take them all out at once. |

Basically: A) they see fucked up future and live in it and the story goes around it. B) They are sent back in time and have to let Makarov die. Frankly I see B as more and more likely outcome now, snce that whole chapter felt like such a "game route flag changing" place. |

| Ugh those two girls were so annoying. At least Natsu told them to shut the hell up. He and Happy all depressed-looking was an "aww" moment. ^_^= I love Makarov! He's so cool. Erza and Mira geared up was also awesome. I love how they deal with their money troubles. But while the letter and birthday gifts thing was sweet, it wasn't what I was hoping for. I was hoping for more drama or a better Natus/Lucy moment. I'm pretty disappointed. Oh, well. Mashima-sensei never does what I want. -.- |
| 7 years have passed. Accept it. There will need to be chapters like these to tie up loose ends and show the impact of passed TIME. I personally thought there couldn't be a more fitting chapter. I feel sorry and sympathize with Lucy. She really had complex feelings for her dad and he just died without any warning. She had 5 million+ to owe for rent and she and her guild were flat broke. I wont be expecting info on Jellal and crew for a few more chapters. Patience will help here. Also, the 2 ugly girls walking by was there to add a guilt and horror factor to the whole situation. Do you know that there are people like that in real life everywhere? It may of seemed random or forced but, it was perfectly implemented. The fact that Makarov, Erza and Mira even appeared in this chapter and destroyed the fodder was a bonus. I expected this chapter to be completely focused on Lucy, so I appreciate those panels. We also got some confirmation on Lucy and her mom as well. Layla was "Blessed" and it has most likely been passed onto Lucy. |

| Phew! Just read 7 chapters in one go, so had the destruction of Tenrou island and its recreation again in about 35 mins! Interesting that the time skip didnt affect the main characters, just a few that were left in Magnolia, or where ever the guildhouse is! I wonder if Wendy and Romeo are going to get into any hijinks seeing as they are about the same age...ish! That would be pretty funny! |

| Poor Lucy such a sad thing to happen to her. This makes me wonder why Fairy Tail never did this earlyir. Sure, the rest of Fairy Tail left behind aren't on the scale of Gildats, but they should've been able to kick their butts. |
