Plus it has some very well shown side-characters - some of them may appear a bit irritating at first, but than it shows why they are like this and does it well. |

You could also like Kanon (2006) it's also cute but it's a little more dramatic |

| Anybody know of a romance anime or manga with a good dose of drama? Examples of the type of drama I'm looking for would be things like hiking in the mountains and someone gets hurt (sounds cliche I know). Horrible secrets being revealed. Maybe family problems (running away from home, etc). Generally dangerous situations. |

You could also try Gankutsuou, which does have the types of drama that you described, but it's not quite the main focus. Might also check out: Kare Kano Paradise Kiss Natsume Yuujinchou Berserk For manga, anything by Inio Asano would be an excellent romance/drama. The best one of his works to start with is Solanin, since it's rather short and very well done. From there check out Subarashii Sekai, Oyasumi Punpun, and then the rest~ |

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien Myself ; Yourself School Days Kimi ga Nozomu Eien is somewhat like True Tears. Myself ; Yourself has a lot of drama in it. School Days is a sad romance that's pretty dark as it moves along. |

| Looking for a sophisticated romance anime with beautiful and lovely characters that the romance is in the center of the plot or atleast take an importent part of it. i do not mind if it mixed with some other genres, I happen to like Fantasy/Advanture, action and even ecchi or harem animes if they have a good plot. Please.. spare me the animes when the male is a pathetic and useless losser that all the girls fall for him for no reason whatsoever, i had enough of them =) somethick that the male is admirable and he is the one falling for the girl first or the one who is chasing her like : Special A Hakushaku to Yousei and seriously it must be with nice animation i hate animes with eyesore characters it make me want to murder them ;) |
