| Most of the time I begin with the head : chin and bottom face line first, then the hair around the face along with the eyes, then the rest. But if I really need a reference for the dimensions and/or clothes of a female character are difficult, I draw them first. |

| After I get the shape of the head in (and the rest of the body drawn) I do the upper eyelids first, then the pupils, then the lower eyelids-- keeps my eye shapes from going all wonky and saves some of the trouble of trying to mirror the eye. Then nose, mouth, ears, and (finally!!) the hair. The hair is my favorite part. >w> |
