Some people told me that they had subs for episode 3, but when I looked, I couldn't find any. I'm waiting for their response, I asked for a link.

I'll post it here if I get it any time soon.

Infinite-Zero is very likely to drop it, they seem to like to drop good series :|
I'm hoping they'll prove me wrong though...

I think I saw subs for 3 and 4 posted on Veoh, but I haven't had the chance to actually view the files to see.

Did Wyvern drop it? I was waiting for their releases.

I was expecting good things from wyvern... I hope he doesn't drop this :'(

But, right now, I don't care who subs it as long as I get to see more.

Edit: I just read this on Tadashi's site "...since Wyvern is on vacation." So maybe he'll keep doing Birdy when he's back.

Yeah, I went back and checked. The episode three and four I saw are for an older, completely unrelated anime called simply "Testsuwan Birdy".

It's not completely unrelated , that's the original Birdy The Mighty. Which is very good and should be watched by all fans of the show.

Hmm so what's up? This is actually the only show I picked up and planned to stick with this summer... but seems no groups are interested. Maybe I have bad taste.. :/

well lately sub groups have been late on their releases. not only that some groups seem to have taken on multiple projects which is probably contributing to the slowdown. some sites are being cluttered with single episode being released by three or four different groups.... it would not surprise me if some of the lesser anime got put on the back burner.

Infinite-Zero hasn't dropped it at least, their encoder(maybe everything else too) has moved to Japan and doesn't seem to have a stable internet connection. Here's hoping they'll release fairly soon.

Hopefully a fansub group : Aoshen ( http://aoshen.blogspot.com/ ) finally realeased the third episod (only streaming is available now, and no news until this week end as far as i know, but it's something !).
I hope they'll keep going ! (i'm crossing fingers for that :/ )

Someone could create the topic pool of the 3d and 4th episod please ?
Try again.

it's a speedsub, don't expect quality video... and aside from that, subs are the important thing right now right? no other alternatives so it doesn't matter @ Wasabi

imo the translations are better then most speedsubs and the video quality doesn't matter when you're watching speedsubs.

Thanks AoShen for picking this up :) he's doing this himself by the way

I just noticed a new group called EMiNA that released episode 3, in both XVID and H264. Sadly I'm at work so I cannot see if it's good or bad, but has anyone tried it already?

I just watched the third episode from EMiNA and they are definately a better choice than AoShen. AoShen's video quality is atrocious, to say the least. It looks like they upscaled from an iphone encode or something...
EMiNA's subs seem to be accurate as well, even though some of their sentences require a re-read or two :)

AoShen has released more episodes though... and maybe episodes 4 and 5 have better quality. The file size is larger, at least.

Update:
AoShen's recent HQ releases are damn good and I think I'll start watching those now.

Damn good? Sorry, no. I just watched the episodes 3 to 5 and they're far from 'damn good'. I appreciate the hard work and I more or less understood what was said but there are a lot of things that need some work.

Sometimes there are missing letters, in cases even entire lines. The Grammar is wrong in many places and in episode 5 there was even a smilie (">.<") in the subtitles!

I will now wait until someone else picks it up from here.

Exploring Anime in Magic only did the first five episiodes from what I can see.

And I didn't think AoShen's work was that bad. They improved as they went on.
