| While episode 1 was a bit boring episode 2 was a bit better. But mainly in regards to the interaction between the chars. I think the game is stupid/boring. Especially since they seem to take it tooo serious when they later at high school still want to be the best at some poem-learning game for kids. Slapping away all those cards seemed a bit too over the top. (I guess this was for "action".) The teacher acting as referee didn't really seem to check the cards. (At one point she seemed to notice a mistake though. Would feel more realistic if she had to check closer.) The interaction of the chars - considering they are still in their childhood - seemed nice. I mean pretty obvious that the one guy is super jealous. Stil nice for him to return the glasses and admit that he stole them. I hope they'll grow as chars and we'll get to see other stuff besides the games/machtes with growing personalities. (This should be the focus/strenght of this anime ... I hope they don't stay childish - especially in regards to love - in high school. :D I heard the girl is a bit oblivious in regards to certain signals related to love ... could get annoying if that really was the case.) |
| I just have 2 questions 1. How the fuck could he steal it without both of them noticing? 2. How the fuck could he cheat without literally ANYONE noticing? The way they forced a drama through these left a bad taste in my mouth. I also wonder how they handle these kids - Chihaya being way too naive - Taichi being a dick - Arata being a saint None of them really interest me now. Let's see. |

| That Taichi...what a jerk! >:( He was so mean and unkind. Arata was out of his reach, so he wanted to win by cheating. What a terrible kid he was. Chihaya's family was negative as well. They are blinded by Chihaya's older sister's career and can't notice that Chihaya also tries so hard to succeed in something. |

| Taichi is so bratty. He's probably just jealous of how much attention Chihaya is giving Arata. Got a little pissed at his unfair play as well, but I'm glad he came clean in the end. Only 2 episodes in and I'm already attached to the characters. |
| Think God Taichi did the right thing at the end, he was a pain in the ass to watch. I think ep 1 was better than 2, simply because it had more moments in the present. |

Don't compete in beauty pageants, y'all. Unless you're rich $$$ and have free time and like the attention, lmao. Every girls' feet died on pageant day, my gawd. The audience sits and enjoys the pageant judging for beauty and intellect while backstage is absolute chaos LOL. You got girls changing, girls getting their makeup done, getting their hair done, practicing their walks, rehearsing in their heads what to say when they get the mic-- ugggghhhhhhhhh. A headache. |

| Stealing Arata's glasses and switching the cards, Taichi was quite the rascal as a kid but at least Chihaya was there to stand up for Arata and things ended with no bad blood between Taichi and Arata. |

| H-Haa? I feel like being big on karuta would get you alienated even harder. I think the only reason that worked is because Taichi took it personally that anyone thought they could beat him at anything. And everyone else in the class just followed his lead because if Popular Boy thinks it's important it must be. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| "It's nice that he became nice to Megane by the end of the episode", yeah fucking right, he didn't. He wasn't sorry for what he did to him, he was only acting nice because he felt bad after Chihaya was trying so hard to find Megane's glasses, he "apologised" only because of her. He's just a bully, nothing more, nothing less. If there's gonna be even just a slight hint of romance towards him, I'm dropping this. |
