| For everything Madoka Magica had done to me this year, I think the series so well deserve the awards it get. Akemi Homura - yeah, she is bad-ass, her journey is so well documented that her actions are well justified. Connect as best theme song? - seriously amongst the 30 or so series that I've watched from winter - summer season, Madoka's OP theme is the most catchy and has the highest replay value. Kyuubey - Well deserving. Yuuki Aoi - yeah! Other than MadokaI believed she voiced other characters like Victorique in Gosick, I think she did very well as a VA, it could be anyone, still I'm happy she get the award. Madoka BGMs - one of the most impressive I've seen to date. Other Madoka awards - I'm just happy they get the awards, I say 2011 is a great year for SHAFT. |

| Madoka dominated the poll, I'm Happy. Also Happy for Okabe, Miyano Mamorou and Yuki Aoi. The only disappointment is "connect".. but japanese audience have weird taste in music, considering AKB48 dominate oricon chart every single time. |

| Madoka and Steins;Gate, yeah that sounds about right. Nothing for Usagi Drop though? Come on. Daikichi should've at least been in the running for best male character. Whilst I prefer Okabe and think he deserved the win, Daikichi is an easy second for this year so far. Also, Usagi's art direction and execution was pretty much flawless. No Kaiji either, which should've at least been in the running for soundtrack. Good to see so many mentions of Penguindrum though, even though it didn't win anything. Guess it's to be expected for an anime original project that isn't finished yet though. |
| Madoka was good and some of the awards were deserving, but it was still a little bit exaggerated. Also, Connect is laughable, since it is extremely generic. |
| MS Madoka Magica hands down... Connect though was kinda uhmm... biased? Seeing that the nominees mostly contain a Madoka representative for each category, the fans must have been overwhelmed by its dominance. As much as the majority of MAL thinks, I also agree that Magia is quite better than Connect but then, if it was just me, secret base ~Kimi ga Kureta Mono~ (10 years after ver.) from Ano Hana would win with no competition at all. |
