He is a genius of solving any puzzle an instant and that's become later his power.

In the previews: I guess this is about a puzzle fight or something like that, but it sure looks interesting.
That guy caugh his girl friend and if he don't solve it she died I guess.

I never been that so good in puzzle and usually take forever to solved lol.

I can't wait for the next episode, such a good beginning ^_^

Oh, fuck yeah, a May'n OP <3
I don't care if the story turns out to be absolute bullshit, because May'n makes up for it <3
Actually, what was the episode about anyway?
Protip: I don't really check the forums anymore, so if you want something, take it on my profile.
Is it time for my long-awaited return to the forums? щ(゚Д゚щ) Nope™, probably not.

I'm all for puzzles and Millennium armbands, but these characters and just how we can already tell what's going to happen in the end are just so ARTGSDASDHJ.

"This reminds me of a puzzle!" Oh man, I'm gonna Professor Layton this show so damn much.

Anyway, nice show. I quite like the characters and I'm always game for a show that has characters that use their brains instead of their fists. Although I'm not very fond of the art.

Haha. Am I suppose to take this show seriously? The entire thing was just too ridiculous.

I'm no puzzle genius, but i can't understand the puzzle of what this show is about.

Is the main character just going to do a puzzle of the week each episode for no reason at all? The puzzles aren't even interesting in the first place so i don't think that would work.

If they wanted to make an anime about puzzles, they should have made an anime adaptation of Paradox Blue which is significantly better if the first episode of this is any indication. At least in Paradox Blue there is actually some point to solving the puzzles than "to set the poor puzzles free."

Well, that was appalling. I expected something like hikaru no go and I got a mind game (NOT) anime in which a scrawny spiky-haired *foams* teenager with a physique suspiciously similar to Monkey D Luffy's solves analytical puzzles with the power of shounen stare and what appears to be the Indian mystic Orpheus (yummy, mythology champloo). Yang Wenli must be so vexed that he was not let in on this ultimate intellectual secret; poor guy, laying still staring down at the universe for hours on end or walking up and down juggling ideas, meticulously crafting elaborate plans... so much time wasted when he could just oryaaaa into supreme intellect and blast Reinhard away with a magical ball of genius energy :/

In due course, other people with similar physiques and 'enviable' powers will arrive grinning meaninglessly at the screen while striking (what some people construe as) cool macho poses attempting to explain the rules of various inane puzzles in ridiculously pitched voices.

The anime seems to be replete with references to Einstein and a bunch of other people who had almost nothing to do with solving closed world, artificial puzzles and at least one person (Orpheus) who has little to do with analytical problem solving in general. In fact the only anime-like element in Orpheus's life I can think of is his murder by religious yandere. As for Einstein, yea he sure couldn't have fulfilled O~rpheus's co~ntract *wiggles fingers ominously* since he probably had more important things to do like revolutionizing physics and challenging centuries of preconceptions on the nature of space and time. Maze puzzle's my ass.

And then of course there is the matter of the shounen cliche underachieving female sidekick; if this anime was a US production I would sue for demeaning depictions of women and then settle out of court for
. Fortunately, hikaru no go set the bar for depicting women as intellectually inferior so high that there is little chance this anime will outdo it.

Oh well, at least it cannot be a more atrocious bastardization of an interesting theme than 'C' was. Now excuse me while I go increase my height in Mt Fuji.

Need I remind you of Hidan no Aria?

I thought it was good but not great. Maybe my expectations were too high. I'm hoping this will get more impressive as it goes along and eventually carry some momentum. Cliffhangers, yes please.

At least his girlfriend has a brilliant memory! No really, I thought she was going to end up being a useless female side character as I watched her run through that maze with no fear at all. Has she never played a video game before in her life? There's always traps! I mean, you can go watch Indiana Jones and know that much.

reminds me of Neuro >.> the artwork is similar....

oh yeah and all the stuff i disliked about Neuro is here too

weird unexplained powers blatently placed in it...

puzzles that are unsolveable without having knoweldge only the character contains (thus they dont have to bother putting effort into making real puzzles that the watcher can enjoy trying to solve too)

their just gonna spam having her remember everything needlessly and have him suddenly go solved.... there wont be much entertainment in that...

i dont think im going to care much for this show... the op was nice though... real nice...

Not sure how I feel about this one....

The girls personality seems a bit cliched and I'm pretty much see later in the show she is going to be the cause of the heroin to go through some ridiculous stuff to save her.

I'll keep watching for now though...

This is the silliest fucking anime I've watched this season so far, but I'm loving it!
This is definitely something not to take seriously, but it's so much fun to watch, a great popcorn show.

5/5 for this episode, set those poor little puzzles free, LMFAO

This was the best of three first episodes I watched tonight, so I'm going to stick with it for a while. At least the female sidekick has some talents (it was her insight and memory that solved the maze puzzle).

And who wouldn't want to see the poor little puzzles solved and set free.....

I find it hilarious how the main guy attends some school where everyone is forced to wear uniform, but he gets special treatment and wear what he wants.

If this was a bit more realistic, everyone in the school would hate them to the point where they try to get him expelled or killed.
