| To be fair, a live action version of "Cowboy Bebop" actually MAKES SENSE. While it's the millionth Hollywood adaptation of a comic book/anime series/Japanese live action movie/manga, it has the potential to be both meaningful and interesting. Of course, I have serious doubt that any director could replicate what Shinichiro Watanabe did with the series and movie. Who are they going to hire as a director? If I were a producer, I would seriously consider giving Watanabe a shot at it. |

In an interview Stoff stated “I’m really excited to be working on it, and it’s in the really early stages. We just signed it the other day.” . He also promised "A real degree of faithfulness" and added, “When I met with them in Japan, one of the first things that I brought up was the experience that we had on A Scanner Darkly, and how hard we worked to remain faithful to Philip K. Dick, and that was our big concern here.” The film is being developed for Fox.
