A team of researchers in Osaka, Japan have discovered a new protein that they named after Pikachu, a character in the popular series Pokemon. The protein, called Pikachurin, deals with transmissions from the eyes to the brain which is why they named it after the character because of its quick moves. The research team hopes to find treatments with this protein for a specific hereditary cause of blindness.

Wow, that doesn't sound even remotely Latin...little did they know that doctors will now realize that watching anime actually slows down the eyes instead of being the normal healthy Pikachu.

Please don't trade/swap your Pikachu >.>

You can't help but smile when you see something like this...it's better than some obscure latin name that only a select few understand. Although, latin names sound more impressive. Now we need a Gengar (favourite pokemon) protein and I'm happy!
Your search on "Oran Solus" returned the following quotes:
"Oran Solus? I know him. What a wanker. He still owes me a tenner." Oscar Wilde
"Oran, you're so intelligent and awesome <3" Bakayaro
"Oran's sexy." LolitaDecay
"Oran is a sophisticated penguin." Drybananna
"Oran is a Hand-Eye you faggots." EddieSpaghetti
"Oran for Prime Minister." the_prime_one
"Oran is all that is stated in his sig and more." orbitzz

Didn't something like this happen about 2 years ago? There was some gene or something that caused cancer that became named something and abbreviated as Pikachu?

Edit: Never mind, it was abbreviated Pokemon.
