Back in 2008 I used to be an INFP. Now I am an INTP.
At first I was like ヽ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ. But then I was like ┐( ̄ー ̄)┌.

I've taken two of these tests recently and both of them said I am an INFP. I don't know if I agree with it or not seeing as I'm pretty fickle with my thoughts and emotions. A few months ago it said I was an ISTP.

I tend to fly back and forth between ISTJ and INTJ in the tests that I take, due in part to my Sensing/Intuition scores being very close. It seems those are common personality types for anime fans.

I think it's funny that Wikipedia lists INTP as being one of the rarest types, estimated to be about 1-5% of people, while here on MAL it's the most prevalent. Gotta love niches, eh?

This isn't really Jung; it's Myers-Briggs, though. The difference isn't really big.

I am, and have always scored as, an INTP. Interesting trivia, those scores, but shouldn't be read too deeply into. They aren't exactly underpinned by a vast swathe of empirical evidence.
This, a lot of people seem to think this is serious psychology and the lot.

The point is that it's not science, because it's not falsifiable.

Introverted (I) 72.41% Extroverted (E) 27.59%

Thinking (T) 58.06% Feeling (F) 41.94%
Perceiving (P) 83.87% Judging (J) 16.13%

I wonder why you have to give your gender, does that influence the score?

INFJ - "Author". Strong drive and enjoyment to help others. Complex personality. 1.5% of total population.
INFJs are gentle, caring, complex and highly intuitive individuals. Artistic and creative, they live in a world of hidden meanings and possibilities. Only one percent of the population has an INFJ Personality Type, making it the most rare of all the types.

INFJs have uncanny insight into people and situations. They get “feelings” about things and intuitively understand them. As an extreme example, some INFJs report experiences of a psychic nature, such as getting strong feelings about there being a problem with a loved one, and discovering later that they were in a car accident. This is the sort of thing that other types may scorn and scoff at, and the INFJ themself does not really understand their intuition at a level which can be verbalized. Consequently, most INFJs are protective of their inner selves, sharing only what they choose to share when they choose to share it. They are deep, complex individuals, who are quite private and typically difficult to understand. INFJs hold back part of themselves, and can be secretive.

Possible Career Paths for the INFJ:
* Clergy / Religious Work
* Teachers
* Medical Doctors / Dentists
* Alternative Health Care Practitioners, i.e. Chiropractor, Reflexologist
* Psychologists (seems like i choose my studies well ;)
* Psychiatrists
* Counselors and Social Workers
* Musicians and Artists (^ the same ^^)
* Photographers
* Child Care / Early Childhood Development
