| does .hack roots have a proper ending? |
| Yes and no. For those who have played the G.U games it's more like a sequel to the games. (Infact the entire serie almost is) The last 3-4 episodes are pretty much equal to the beginning of .hack//G.U Rebirth (The ps2 game) and .hack//TRILOGY (The 3D animated movie) |

There is also a MMORPG, named .hack//frägment, but the server closed down 2007. But while frägment was based on R:1 there is a possibility that they will do a new game with the R:2 style... is supposed to be out 2016.. I am waiiiiting desu! =__=" |

| First of all, this topic is OLD, and I think the forum rules mentions to not bump old topics, however, let's put that aside and move on to your comment. I am fully aware of that it's a prequel and not a sequel, however I am from Sweden, so my english isn't as good as it could be, and I happened to mix up the words in the second post in this thread. But Yojiru kindly said 'the truth' as you called it in the next post so I found no reason to edit it because I assume that you read through at least the first posts before you post in an outdated thread. However the qoute you used is an smaller discussion about which one of .hack//SIGN and .hack//ROOTS is the most obvious prequel compared to SIGN. Since GU uses the same characters as in ROOTS and keeps having flashbacks to the anime, while SIGN and IMOQ is not so close to eachother compared to ROOTS and GU, (yes, there is Helba, a lot of the characters looks alike and in some special events there is a lot that has with SIGN to do.) BUT you don't need to have seen .hack//SIGN to understand the game, since the story is diffrent and they have diffrent goals. ROOTs and GU has the same goal through both the anime and the games. and YES, I am fully aware of that almost the entire .hack// concept has a storyline together, but that wasn't what the discussion was about. Then again it doesn't have to be a prequel just because it came out first, begg me and I'll tell you a few animes which have a prequel comming out after the 'orginal' serie' So please read throught the entire topic, or if you're to lazy at least the post before you decide to press the quote/post button because you feel like calling an other person an idiot for your own amusement, without really caring what has ben written.
