hm...to make the thread useful, if i was in the mood to get that worked up about a show/movie, what should i watch? feeling that involved is what makes picture entertainment interesting after all.

Well, surprisingly, a good anime can get on my emotional side (that's s.t. most real actors movies can't do).

I think the first time was in:
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien

after this, well, I think I don't remember them all:
Suzuka (end)
Air (mid-end)
Clannad (fuko arc)
Kanon (quarter of the anime, it's so touching)
ef - a tale of memories (in a few scenes in the last episodes)
Zero no Tsukaima Season 2 (end)

not sure about anymore:
Fantastic Children (end)
Blood+ (end)
True Tears

wow! lots of cry-babies

anyways i watched lots of sad girly movies and anime (i was mostly forced to do so) and the only anime that made me shed a tear was "grave of the fireflies" i mean if that movies doesn't make you cry you are probably a psychopath!

I removed the posts where the spoiler tag would have been necessary.

And some of you need to learn to label their spoilers. If you just put a spoiler tag there without saying what anime or whatever your spoiler is about, then you tag serves absolutely no purpose because people are gonna click it to know what show you're talking about. Think about it.

Grave of the Fireflies hit me pretty hard.

The last few episodes of Rose of Versailles, definitely. Yeesh..

A certain big moment during Touch probably would have if I hadn't read a spoiler. Anyone who's familiar with the show (or manga) would know what I'm talking about. Extremely moving, regardless. Those two episodes are perfection.

And another near the end of Monster, if I hadn't read the manga beforehand. Still almost had me in tears.

Hmm.. are these vague enough to forego the spoiler tags?

Air made me cry a lot. The ending...wow. The most I've ever cried watching something. xD;
Elfen Lied did also.
Some of Clannad made me get teary-eyed, the Fuko arc especially, but I don't think I really cried. ^^;
And when I first watched the 1st Pokemon Movie I cried. I was like, 8 or 9, okay. XDD

I think that's it though. ^^;

Episodes 39 and 40 of Rose of Versailles. I was so very close to crying during those two.

And this one is a bit silly, but I was young at the time:

Let’s see… when it comes to good series I am pretty much always emotional if it ends but here is my top 7.

1#Neon Genesis Evangelion - The End of Evangelion

2#Elfen Lied

3#Kimi ga Nozomu Eien

4#Death Note

5#Voices of a Distant Star

6#Sola

7#ef - a tale of memories

p.s I love anime because it can be so emotional. Anime can tricker emotions like no real live serie can imo.
I have edit Air to my list, its pretty damn emotional if I look at this thread.

Damn I can't believe so many people cry from anime. I had no idea.

I really felt bad for Simon when Kamina and Yoko kissed in Gurren Lagann mainly because I know how shitty that would be. But I am pretty sure I never cried.

I actually don't have "a hard time" crying to movies, like I cried everytime I watch Tictanic, or whae Frodo Leaves in The Return of the King, but I have only cried three times I can remember in anime. (But lots, and lots, of more time when it comes to manga, I really don't know why O_o)
