Or it's just my eyes deceiving me. I use cheap ordinary pencil so when I finish sketch I have to push a little to make it darker... I bought better one now and I learned thing or two... |

| I don't draw as much as I'd like, but these 4 are the only ones I ever scanned/took a photo of. They are kinda crappy as I don't practise much :/ I'll see if I can get a tablet in a near future so I can draw clean |

| Wow, you guys are such great artists! >.< After being forced into joining an art class and enrichment in school, I've recently been inspired to draw and improve my skills with my free time....... Though I've been busy lately, so I haven't actually drawn anything yet. =/ The only thing I do have is a drawing of a water bottle that was for a proportion lesson(thumbnail measuring)..... which I failed epically at. However, it is actually the first drawing that I've put effort into, so I guess this is a good starting point. Here's the original image I had to draw: ..... and here's my drawing: ehe, now that I'm looking it over it's actually pretty lopsided. xD Most of it is pretty inaccurate because the image was zoomed in, enlarged on a projector, and I was sitting the farthest from the screen, so I couldn't see too many details(not to mention my bad eyesight). |

| Haven't drawn in forever. But when I was on the plane going for WA State to Sac CA I did decide to break out the iPad and doodle with Sketchbook Pro. Flight was about 2 hours long, so yeah, that's probably about how long this took. It's hard as hell trying to draw with an iPad. I thought it would be easier than a using a wacom tablet. Hell no it wasn't. |

Just work on the contrast a bit and full tonal values. Have you done value scales before? Those are good to refer back to when shading. The shape and proportions themselves look good though. Maybe in your spare time, instead of drawing from a photo, try drawing a water bottle from life. |
