| Wow what an episode! I was not expecting this outcome at all, really surprised Miyata lost and couldn't fill his promise to fight with Makunochi in the Finals. So we've already seen 2 loses of the so called next greatest fighter Miyata, after this one and the training one with Ippo when he was just a beginner. And Ippo is unbeaten in his short career. I really like it when series are unpredictable and dared and don't go for the foreseeable. It still leaves a lot to see in the future, so no worries I guess for a rematch btwn the two. |

| He lost the fight, didn't keep his own promise, essentially got his leg destroyed, and didn't regain consciousness even a bit after the match...but even with that bad leg, Miyata was actually strong enough to nearly beat Mashiba in several occasions if only he able to just get in one more punch. That very aggressive stare really took hold of his opponent's soul too. Being fully aware of the scummy tactic Mashiba used and the consequences it entailed, I can see why Ippo's absolutely furious. I'd like to see him take revenge but I hope that he won't let the hatred take over. |
