Yeah I liked the episode too. But there's definitely something fishy about the girl's sudden recovery. The night before her father was told to be ready for the worst case scenario. Looking forward to more. Oh and I really liked how the crash looked in the beginning. ![]() open.staff.applications ▼ guidelines.faq ▼ report.abuse ▼ Thx Kina. ▼ [H+] ³ ▼ |
Good episode. Birdy really looks hawt in that skimpy alien suit off her. Loved then animation when you where looking trough Birdy her eyes when she was running and jumping. Nice action sequence to. ![]() "Thousands have lived without love, not one without water." -Wystan Hugh |
i was pretty damn sure that the girl who "died" in the beginning was played by Noto Mamiko, how come the voice sounded different in the end? o_O ![]() |
Entertaining second episode, although the bland, dimwitted male protagonist certainly weighed it down. I didn't really feel the need for an overly long explanation as to what happened with Birdy lending Tsutomu her body after killing him when it's a pretty typical anime occurrence. Actually the biggest problem I have with this series is that the plot and characters are so generic. The action sequences are quite fun to watch however and Birdy is cool so I'm still willing to keep with it unless it starts failing to deliver. ![]() |
Good episode. I'm falling in love with the OP and ED. Love the fight animation. And its good to keep things short and sweet so they don't drag out. :P ![]() |
kisami said: hmm looks interesting, but is 13 eps enough for this kind of story? I'm hoping it will continue with a second season, rather than just ending after 13 eps. They could certainly finish up the current story arc in that time, but I think the overall plot thread of the Birdy x Tsutomu "relationship" could use more time. ![]() |
Does it seem like that the story is something complicated or deep for 13 eps?? If you ask me, it is more than enough, and the pool says, the only person who disliked this episode is me among you, hmm, well, looking *cough* forward to *cough* the next ep.. XD ![]() |
I liked the episode as well. But seriously nobody notices the girl's sudden recovery. I mean the night before her father was told to be ready for the worst case scenario and he doesn't ask any questions when she goes to school the next day... he lets her go!? I wonder what exactly was put into her. Looking forward to more and its too bad it is only 13 episodes since it is looking like it is one that I will enjoy. Was impressed by the crash at the beginning. ![]() |
kisami said: hmm looks interesting, but is 13 eps enough for this kind of story? Um...the original is only 4 episodes, so... Anyway, I agree with this: Smasher said: Birdy really looks hawt in that skimpy alien suit off her. :] ![]() |
Really liking the animation, the fight scenes are pretty cool, and the op, ed and bgms fit pretty well. Also wtfed @ the chick gettin hit. ![]() |
Wasabi said: I'm pretty sure Nakasugi's recovery had something to do with this "Ryunka" or the other mysterious alien that's stalking her. I'm also hoping that Birdy will get a second season since the premise of this show is pretty well done. i'm assuming that Ryunka is symbiant/parasite that the other alien implanted in the girl as a matter of convenience (or possibly just to see what would happen, don't know enough about her character yet to say which). the way this series is set up it would be hard to have a second series, since by the end of this one the hero should be back in his own body. so why is she still doing work as Shion when she knows the bad guys know who she is and she has the wonderful cover story of the hero's life? he's on his own for the next 6 months, which should be more than enough time for her to complete her mission. ![]() |
I liked the episode. This series has grown on me. Good animation. I'm a bit interested in girl's sudden recovery. Looking forward to more. The fight scenes was pretty cool. Smasher said: Good episode. Birdy really looks hawt in that skimpy alien suit off her. Ditto. :) ![]() |
Hmmm finally a good team subbing this, I waited so long ! Great episode just like the first, Tetsuwan Birdy Decode is a good sci-fi series with old-school characters and damn good animation... can't get enough of this ;) ![]() |
Good episode overall. It's beginning to be interesting. And there is something fishy about that mysterious alien girl and the super quick recovering girl. ![]() |
Pretty nice episode, some quite nice development and of course nice action! Lets see who that character was that was looking out for that rich girl. ![]() |
Great episode. Love the ending song. Reminds me of a certain Naruto ED. I like this more than the OVA's so far. It's nice to have the split screen when they communicate. ![]() |
Definitely on board with the show. Birdy seems very dismissive of just destroying Tsutomu's body and turning his life uspide down and inside out. Onto the next episode. ![]() |
I appreciate them explaining that Tsutomu isn't always going to be stuck with Birdy but they actually have a new body being constructed for him. - I feel like that was something that could've been mentioned in the original OVA aswell. Seems Tsutoma is going to be Birdy's moral compass. I wonder what this Ryunka thing is, also Nakasug seems suspicious ... ![]() |
