Hmm. The very first... probably space invaders. Hard to say, was a very long time ago. Certainly wasn't on a console though; consoles didn't exist back then.

Hmmm, the first game I remember owning was a game called Thexder on my family's Tandy 1000!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thexder

But I'd been playing on friend's Ataries, etc. for a while before that.

Actually I don't really remember anymore which game was my first (I was around 5-6 at that time) but it was probably either "Jungle Hunt" or "Galaxian" on the Atari 5200.

I never saw the appeal of pong. Was never compelled to try it when it was all the rage. I did, however, enjoy Shufflepuck Cafe, because it added some interesting elements (various opponents who played in different ways). Space Invaders was the first game that was remotely kindasorta interesting. I certainly didn't spend hundreds of dollars on it at the arcade like some people did, but did play it a bit.

Haha, mine was the same. Well, I suppose it was the first I owned and really got to play anyway.

My first game was probably either Mario Kart or Ocarina of Time, because I played them at my cousin's house a few times.

I cannot exactly remember. I would say one of the NES Mario games, maybe one of the NES Mega Mans. I was only born in '88, but my sister had a huge NES library by the time I started gaming.

I know my first console I owned was the Genesis, with Sonic 2.

Its multiplayer competitive gamein at its most basic
Sadly the AI on the nonplayer side is what you call rubish
Its like that stoner VS 5 yearoldkids football/soccer match I once watched
One side stood there lookin at bit monged out and the other won
End score was 1 -56 (I stoner ran off with the ball at the end and ran throw the goal)

I've been playing videogames since I was old enough to hold a controller, so I don't really know. If I had to guess, I'd probably say Frogger for the Atari though.
