Sentai Filmworks Licenses Yokuwakaru Gendaimahou

According to their official press release, Sentai Filmworks has licensed Yokuwakaru Gendaimahou (Modern Magic Made Simple).

Sentai Filmworks will release the 12 episode series on subtitled DVD this December.

I remember this show. I watched half of it then put it on hold. I still haven't finished watching it...I don't know if I have enough motivation to do so.

I wonder if they even make enough money when they license unknown series... I mean it's not like it's going to gain popularity from being on TV anywhere else.......and besides that it's probably not going to be on TV......

Licensing isn't as simple as people think. Everything has a different licensing fee... Stuff like this likely has a low licensing fee so they can just pick it up without much risk to add some extra income.

Just because they license something over another, more popular show, doesn't mean they wouldn't rather get the popular shows. They are just more expensive and current costs might be too expensive for the profit they can bring in for licensing it

Don't really care about the license but glad this season got attention. It gets better halfway through and was easily overlooked by most people, who probably base a whole season off the first episode.
