| Wonderful episode. Watching an episode about Shouko x Yuuji was pretty enjoyable. I give it a 5/5. Also, did only i thought that Yuuji's mom is freakin' sexy? |

| Nicely done episode. The way he was arguing with his older self over what is right and wrong had a very nice style to it. Yuuji was pretty cold back then. Nice to see his mother too. Man, the jealousy of those sixth-graders. Going after his stuff and after that even pestering Shouko. In the end he did stand up for her, even though he lost. Shouko is just too cute for giving herself over to him like that. And a special ED too! |

| I'm really enjoying these backstory episodes. This one was good; I liked the whole serious presentation with Yuuji and Shouko talking over it. It's nice to see those two together without Shouko poking his eyes out in every scene (I'm soo sick of that, honestly). My favorite part was Yuuji's argument with his kid self. It was, like, so surreal. |

| I liked it, I thought it was adorable getting their back story and Shouko telling Yuuji's mother she was going to marry him. I liked how he saved her and Yuuji used to be smart. That was one of the sweetest episodes of anything ever! |

| This episode combined with the Minami centered episodes are the ones that truly stand out this season so far. I absolutely loved it. Yuuji is such an interesting character, and so is Shouko. Seeing as I skipped the forums for episode 10 due to possible spoilers, all I can say is: GO MINAMI! 2 episodes left girl, you can do it! |
| Yuuji's Childhood!!! Well , Arrogant and have a Superiority Complex.. well shit If i were on his time I think I can hate him as much as I can.. Boastful to maximum!!... (it was his "Prodigy" days after all..) Yuuji's mother !! (looks like himeji in some point.. but her personality is like from Akira-san.) Shouko's Childhood!!! Shouko Kawaii!! Shouko's in trouble!! Yuuji on a desperate situation!! That Self-conscious judgement!! Yeah... That is Smart people only weakness.... Yuuji has a good friend !! Only he is a Baka but cool enough both in the outside and inside :D Shit... he is coward enough to let shouko to be bullied ... This is one of the reasons why I dislike arrogant people !! Vigorous on the outside Superb Wimp on the inside... But this Arrogance let him met his lifetime companion ... Story-wise where Fate lies... haha!! :) Yuuji's Firm Decision!! He is such a tsundere lol!! They're really Perfect for each other !!! (atleast on this anime !!..) Nice Ending!!! Great Episode as always !!! |

| Freaking. Great. Episode. Backstory episodes are always good when executed properly, and this one was excellent. Shouko’s reasons for liking Yuuji are pretty justified, and Yuuji actually being smart was cool. The moment where he decided to step up and defend Shouko was great. The visuals and artwork really remind me of Shaft’s style of work, and the vibe is reminiscent of ef: A Tale of Memories. Strong episode |

| Yuuji and Shouko as kids look like protagonists of a Key/Visual Arts anime. This episode felt completely out of place for BakaTest, if just for how serious and introspective it was. It's not to say the episode is unwelcome, but as it was a great episode for showing off Yuuji's and Shouko's history, their changing thoughts over time, and their self-reflections over their past selves. The visuals were also quite nice, particularly the moment during Yuuji's internal battle where, in attempting to call for help, the school hallway quickly expanded to show the futility of getting a teacher when Shouko was in immediate danger. It seems like season 2 of BakaTest has been constantly changing gears since the first half with all the character development, so despite the anime being almost over, I'm suddenly unsure of what to make of it. |

I get what she's trying to convey, which is he shouldn't just be smart but also have some life experience dealing with issues besides grades but the way the mother answered was weird. |
