PseudoJord said: Well, Usagi Drop was a consistently enjoyable series. Every episode was great and heartwarming in some way. 9/10 Hoping for a second season that has an anime original continuation. But that'd never happen. ;_; I'd love to see Rin grow up more into a 18 year old. Daikichi can deal with growing up and letting go of her. That would be a second season I'd watch. ![]() |

I don't want the anime to show the path Rin grew into in the manga. It's just not agreeable to me. ![]() |
I loved the plethora of faces Rin made in the episode, especially her troll face. Anyways, it was an expected excellent end to the series. My favorite part would still have to be the times when the parents were talking though since I think I have the same fears that he had. ![]() Signature removed. I watched this episode in public. Then people asked why I was smiling and grinning so much. I mean, seriously, how could you not smile when you see this face: ![]() ![]() |
I loved this anime, it was really full of joy that I'm sure anyone would feel happy after watching this. 10/10 for a heartwarming ending and showing how in a year everything turns out just perfectly. ![]() "The world cannot be changed with pretty words alone." ~ Lelouch Lamperouge (Code Geass) |

Her positive attitude toward her surroundings is what makes her different from other children we've seen in the series. ![]() |
10/10 Easy, simple, and super cute. Highly Recommended for anyone! Fantastic series all the way through : ] ![]() |

10/11 episodes finished with me in a soft grin and always left a me with a sensation that can only lead me to describe the series as soberingly-sweet. I actually think the way it ended was near-perfect. I have not read the manga and as it is, it's one of the rare times that the show is so good I DON'T want there to be a season 2. The most I would ever have asked for was maybe 2 more episodes(but seeing the last episode, maybe this was the perfect place to stop). I feel like a lot of the magic would be lost if an entire 2nd season were added and I'm not sure I would want to watch it; nor do I think this would have survived as a 26 episode run. This series is Masterpiece as it is. 10/10. ![]() |
This was a little gem this season. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Unfortunately, after hearing horrible stories about the manga, I skipped to the very last chapter and that chapter alone pretty much told me which direction the manga had taken. That said, the anime adaption has been great. Very heart warming, relaxing, and the characters always brings a smile to my face. 9/10. ![]() |
So do I read the manga now? Because knowing how noitaminA never does sequels to non-J.C. staff anime, we can give up on a season 2. But reading negative remarks on how the manga ended, I dare not! I might as well remain content with the anime only. Although nothing happened in the final episode, I wasn't expecting anything to happen in the first place. Usagi Drop, as an anime, is just a reminder of how parents actually sacrifice their time for bringing up kids. The reason I rated Clannad a 10/10 was because of a single line from Akio. Because I know how parents are and because I know how my parents are, and because I know the type of parent I will be. a 9/10 from me. Best show to start this summer season only second to probably Natsume San. notsureifsrs said: arsonal said: Next season?prismheart said: Nice ending, going to need another therapeutic anime now. I loved it 9/10, extremely heart warming and also make's you want to be a good parent in the future :3 ![]() |
AWESOME SERIES!! I loved it from the start to finish. I have to give it a perfect 10 because it deserves it! This anime really warms up your heart <3 I think I'm going to read the manga now just to see what happens next. This series was truly amazing and so simple. I can't believe it's over. I'm really going to miss it ): ![]() |
If judging from the timeframe that anime was made around, its great, ill give it solid 8-9. Although ive been already tainted by knowing the manga, and therein lays the darkness of the series. Even if I wanted to give it a 10 i cant. So, anyone, if you see anyone wanting to carry on with the plot in the manga, slam their fingers hard. Really. ![]() |
Given what happened in the manga, this is probably the best way they could've ended it while remaining faithful to the source material. The adaptation was outstanding and it managed to elevate material that was great to begin with (I'm referring to the first half of the manga). Thursdays won't be the same without Usagi Drop and its charming and impressive characters. ![]() ![]() |
Such a heartwarming Anime definetely is a 10/10 for me <3!! I'm going to miss rin-chan and daikichi :(! ![]() ![]() |
This anime was so awesome. It was really heartwarming and cute. I give it a 10/10. It'd be so awesome if it got licensed, I don't really care for a dub. I also want a season 2. I haven't read the manga but I know about the ending, it doesn't really bother me so I'm ok with it. ![]() "El Psy Congroo" |
draker said: aaaaaaaand... nothing happened. Manga's shitty ending wasn't enough, they had to ruin the anime, too. Good job! 6/10 Not quite sure you're referring to, since this ends just like the first half of the manga but with some extra reminiscing at the end. If anything, it would be equally shitty. Unless you're comparing it with the very absolute end of the manga, which is just silly. ![]() ![]() |
Nice ending but was kinda expecting something... more. And so because of that I can't give it 10. 9/10 for me :/ ![]() |
"That smile will be my happiness from now on" I believe this is the first time that Daikichi stated that he now sees taking care of Rin as permanent and no longer just a temporary thing. That's one reason why I loved the ending. Very subtle statement, but also very meaningful. Loved the "Don't you think this world is better than you expected" line that appeared twice in the ED. This anime certainly lived up and perhaps even exceeded my high expectations. 9/10 ![]() |
A lot of people are up in arms about the manga ending. Personally, I'm ok with the outcome, but I think the journey to the ending is pretty weak, with all kinds stupid decisions being made all around. It just feels contrived and forced in a specific direction. Except for one point that I will rant about in the spoiler: RinXDaikichi is NOT incest, and it is perfectly reasonable to accept Daikichi has always known they are not related by blood. Lots of people claim the "not related" twist was pulled out thin air, but I don't believe so. There are several instances in the first arc that point out Rin's similarities with her mother, both physically (they look similar) and innately (Rin has a natural artistic talent). In contrast, the only traits Rin shares with Daikichi's father are behavioral. In other words, we NEVER see the equivalent of "you have Daikichi's eyes" or whatever. Most people, like Daikichi's extended family, simply assumed blood relation; but the attentive reader can recognize the intentional ambiguity surrounding that detail, and make their own conjecture's otherwise. That said, I won't argue with anybody who thinks this relationship is wrong due to other circumstances involved. Wrong because of their parent-child history? Ok. Wrong because of age difference? Sure, if that bothers you. Wrong because of incest? Nope, pick something else. A 2nd season I would watch, but I really don't think the anime should follow the manga. I don't think the ending is dark, bad, or evil or anything silly like that. Usagi Drop isn't just about a cute little girl; it's also an exploration of the boundaries of what defines a family. Rin's personal definition has always been broad, and the manga continued to stretch that definition to certain extremities. However, the anime shouldn't follow continue to follow the manga simply because the quality of story telling drops in the second arc. Seriously, it's pretty confusing to follow (I heard you liked time skips so I put TIME SKIPS IN YOUR TIME SKIPS) and everybody makes stupid decisions constantly, and it's actually a little frustrating. ![]() ![]() |
