Aww, I wanted more Yukari :( Still, great last episode. It's not a conclusion to the story, but a perfect way to end what was the new chapter of Daikishi's life. There's something of outstanding beauty about this series, it has a lot of heart and a lot of truth. Never have I seen the complexity of life presented in such simplicity and perfection. Usagi Drop is the story of a simple man who suddenly becomes a single father. It's hard to describe this series because there's not much to tell, it must be felt. Season 2? I'll be there when it comes out. I hope so at least. ![]() Modified by Veethorn, Nov 3, 2011 7:57 PM |
eh?!! is that the ending? i was hoping that rin will be taken back by her mother then daikichi will accept that fact.. *urgh* XDD well the good part is it teaches the viewers a good lesson and it's fun watching.. rin's so cute.. 8/10 ![]() |
Something about this show is so nostalgic. I loved it. ♥ It wasn't over the top or anything, it was a great watch and worth every second. I definitely hope that another season comes along soon! ![]() "Cheer up, you’re never alone! There is probably at least 1 bug in your room." |
:'). I'm speechless. Beautiful episode. I want to see more of Rin's life so badly, it's not even funny. I might read the manga; I heard there's a 10-year time skip to when Rin is older. Hm. It doesn't look as good as this though :/ One thing though~: No closer on Masako. Hm. All we saw was that she wanted to work harder to make herself forget Grandpa and Rin. Great. But guess what~! HEHE. It's not resolved so A NEW SEASON! Maybe. xD 10/10 - Usagi Drop is perfect in any way. I can honestly say it's one of the best series I've ever seen. I want to say the best, but I'm a little tentative about using that word xD. PERFECT. :3 I'll miss you Rin, Daikichi, Kouki, Nitani, everyone.. It was really fun and I hope I can see these wonderful characters again :') If not, you'll always live on in my heart. :'D Cheers to Usagi Drop! Edit: I just read a synopsis of the manga.. I'm heartbroken. It is turned into a stupid meaningless love drama. I don't even want to see Season 2 now. And I will not read the manga until later too. I'm just too disappointed to see a beautifully crafted series like this to take such a disgraceful turn. ![]() Modified by fishergirl16, Nov 18, 2011 2:36 PM |
Great show! Loved the art style and the story. And the characters were all great! I give it 10/10, because what the anime does, it does really, really well. ![]() |
![]() ...for making my life a bit better, even if just for a little while :3 Haven't smiled like that in ages. You'll surely be missed, Usagi Drop~ ![]() |

They could have done more... but it was simply heart-warming since the very beginning! Loved this anime. 10/10 ![]() ![]() Sometimes I can hear my bones straining under the weight of all the lives I'm not living. |
I loved the anime, i know the manga ending as many friends told me to continue reading since anime cuts off and that it'll rage me, and yeah, it definately did. Its good just where the anime ended, daikichi and rin father relationship bond, eveyrthing is happy, and daichiki and nitani (kouki's mom) has a good relationship. in my opinion the full ending should be daichiki and nitani gets married kouki and rin still childhood friend and they both become successful in life after a good education. fuck the manga incest end and all the bullshit! ![]() |
8/10...^_^ It would have been a 9 or a perfect 10 if they added 1 or 2 canonical episode/s(not those specials) since i have a strict anime standard on a minimum of 12/13 episodes. The adaptation was a breath of fresh air. Its been 3 years, since clannad after story, that i watched a very bonding family-oriented anime. The production, soundtrack, and story flow was topnotch eager to interpret such simple yet fruitful plot...kudos Prod I.G. for the quality control \m/ Well, im getting spoiled by the manga rumors, and by hearing that it would be nice not to give them another season(and won't read the manga) XP; better end the anime that way. They could let the live-action movie(or series?) do the rest i guess, and stay away now to the cute 2D Kaga Rin :3... ![]() honor your father and your mother... This show REALLY needs a second season. This was well on it's way to being a 10/10 for me but there's so much more that needed to be done. I didn't even realize it was this short until episode ten and I was so disappointed because it's so fun and easy to watch and get into. ![]() |
The only thing i see wrong with this anime is its length... i need more of it... and I need it now. It would have been nice to see a little more closure. They elaborate a lot on the possibility of Yukari as a possible partner for Daikuchi, yet they idea kinda stays there. Also more elaboration on with Masako and Haruko. They are pretty much the same, Masako gave up her family for her own personal goals and now she suffers and Haruko puts her family first but she is hardly happy with the current situation. 9/10 - A second Season would definitely turn this into a solid 10 ![]() huh? |

I'm sure they are thinking of making a second season. I swear I could see the whole life of Rin without getting bored. Her first period, boyfriend, college etc. Then it would be great to see how Kouki's mom and Daikichi get together. I need a second season. I loved the develop of the anime. The way Daikichi is learning to be a father and how it is not important not to have time to himself because he love Rin <333 so simple but yet heart touching. The beauty of life in a very short story. Sublime. Also, EVERY.SINGLE.FACE of Rin made me go AWWWWW <333 and almost everything Kouki did, made me laugh hard xDD so, 10/10 it is. ![]() |
This was one of the most heartwarming series I have ever watched, but I feel so much more could have been done. Rin almost seemed to perfect. She never caused any major problems for Diakachi and almost raised herself. I really wished they did a full episode where Diakachi and Yukari switched kids for a day. It is clear that Yukari and Rin can connect really well in the few instances we see and that Kouki could really use a father figure in his life. The closest the show does to showing that is when they all go shopping together. It would have been beautiful if there was a scene where Kouki would ask Diakichi for help in learning how to play baseball (because Diakichi did say the reason he got his job is because he is good at baseball) and Kouki opens up to Diakichi. I would love for another season, but I doubt I would enjoy it as much if the follow the manga (from what everyone has been saying). Anime series have broken off the manga for various reasons, and it would be interesting to see if they do it for Usagi Drop. ![]() |

Definitely a hard-warming anime from last year and something of an unique gem. I wouldn't exact call it a masterpiece tbh but it's definitely something unique is one of those rare titles that doesn't follow into the typical cliche of sexual, gore, or violence content category. In its truest form, this anime series adapted from the josei manga stays true to its origin and brings realism in its purest form. Overall, I liked this series and give it a 8/10. ![]() |
Decent series, haven't seen anything so heartwarming as this since Clannad After Story. I watched all episodes in one day and now I regret it, I want more, damn ;_; Rin is the cutest character I've ever seen, seriously >3< I NEED to read the manga, and I want second season soooo badly D< ![]() |
Never before have I worn such a lopsided grin throughout a series =) Rin is adorable till the very end and Daikichi trying so hard has a really touching effect! Pure and unadulterated joy to behold. 10/10. ![]() |

Pure and unadulterated joy to behold. 10/10. Just finished it myself after postponing it for way to long, and I agree. I kept a warm lovely smile throughout the whole series, it just felt very pleasant to watch to me. It manages to stick in your head without anything drastic happening, wich is really impressive in my opinion. I guess the reason why I was postponing it might have to do with the art though, it felt a bit strange at first, but after 2 episodes or so, it really grew on me. I'd even go so far to say it fits perfectly for some reason! The only sad thing was that when I finished it, I didn't realize it finished, I was expecting more, though that doesn't mean it was a bad ending. ![]() |
GReat anime it got 10/10 from me I'm so weak against cute things like this ,and for all of you who want season 2 for the love of god NO ,the second part of manga is so bad and mesed up that I'm regreting for ever reading it in the first place. ![]() Signature removed. Pretty nice end to a slow paced but loving series. I couldnt help but smile through most parts and i really did like Rin, Daikichi was awesome too, he grew himself as well. I looked over what happens in the manga Its a shame that Daikichi and Yukari dont end up together, i was really hoping for that and they really seem to push that couple together in the anime, also im a bit disturbed that Daikichi and Rin end up together, its a bit much and i doubt i would watch a second season if it is ever made. 8/10 for the anime. ![]() |

it was a decent show. kind of boring though. nothing really happened, that made me go wow! but it was a solid series. i'd give it a 7/10 overrated, but still a good watch. ![]() |
