| Nia looks attractive with that intimidating look and cyber suit but what's happening is not good at all. Genome was a good guy in his own way all along but the citizens are ungrateful bastards. They wanted freedom and it was given to them and they even saved them from the 2nd assault. It's their fault for fucking so much until they reached a million in the first place... The moment I saw Rossiu in the timeskip, I knew that he would have to overthrow Simon eventually but it's not really a thing to be proud of being right. Their situation has gone downhill so quickly... |

| Man, this episode is filled with so many incredible dynamics. The grand scheme behind the spiral powers. Lord Genome being the lesser of two evils. The changing of the times. Rossiu's cold calculations. The complacency of peace. The ungratefulness of the masses when things get rough again. It really gets at the core of human nature and how peace can dull those who are intoxicated by it. I can also feel where Simon is coming from. There's just something about the struggle that makes me feel alive. There's nothing quite like it. |

| What a sudden change of Rossiu. He was kind and stuff, didn't expect him be like this. Also, what a turn of events. This arc is like watching another anime. I already miss the previous arc. After Kamina's death this show isn't the same. :( |

| I like the more serious tone a lot more. First arc was ~4/10 for me, lets see where this goes. Rossiu is the absolute MVP, taking the Spiral King's last words seriously, telling the head of state not to fight an unknown enemy on the frontline without a plan, and killing two birds with one stone by making him the scapegoat. Reading the replies of this thread, there seems to be a correlation between people who preferred the first half and people who think Simon is right. Makes a lot of sense. |

| I really like where this is going ngl :p. I usually love such types of show which seem light hearted at first but then they get darker as we go. I usually really like the political stuff in anime. What Rossiu did was bad but that's also how it happens in real life unfortunately. And I need more explanation about the Spiral and Anti-Spiral . I think I understood it but at the same time I don't think I did. 4/5 |

| Simon has a lot to learn as a representative leader, and it looks like Rossiu is thinking of a plan to respond to the citizens. After all it's the duty of the government to secure the safety of its people, at least in American politics. It only makes sense Simon needs to learn that, even if this is pretty much the ends justify the means kind of approach |

| God I really don’t like how Rossiu has developed over the time skip for this show I mean pre-time skip he was essentially a character Simon and his group picked up along the way and was just the co-pilot to Gurren Lagann after Kamina died. Other than that he was a character who was logical because of his upbringing and was calm in a dire situation and to me he doesn’t add much to the team aside from those traits in general. Now I wouldn’t have a problem with the development that Rossiu receives in the time skip if it weren’t for the fact that he basically just decides to treat Simon like shit. I mean in the last episode I just thought: “OK maybe Rossiu is having a stressful time being the advisor is hard work so I’m giving the benefit of the doubt.” But as soon as I tune into this episode he STILL acts this to the point that he essentially throws whatever he did with Dai-Gurren out the window in favour of him pleasing the city’s citizens which I will get to eventually in my rundown. Why in god’s earth would you make what was essentially a supporting character into such an unlikable little shit when he wasn’t anything like that prior? He just blames Simon for the Anti Spiral attack and even worse arrests him at the very end of this episode. Hello earth to Rossiu, Simon is the reason WHY you are in this position in the first place! Yeah okay sure, Simon may have been reckless in dealing with the new threat and maybe it needed to be fully analysed before he did anything but really are you seriously blaming the guy who had SAVED the city from being destroyed?! If he hadn’t intervened when he did, there would have been more deaths thanks to the Anti Spirals! And the worst part about this is that the citizens of the city just become ungrateful bastards and immediately turn on Simon! He made an entire civilisation from the ground up, got rid of the Helix King, essentially brought peace to the world and this is the thanks he gets?! My god these guys are worse than the Piantas in Super Mario Sunshine! They literally turn on him for no reason other than the Anti Sprials attacked them! I would go on with this train of thought but I think I’ll be here all day and I’ll focus on the good stuff that happened. As usual the action was still pretty intense and honestly it’s good to see even with a time skip that it still leaves on the edge of my seat and the animation is still really stellar work. Yoko is still not present but I have a feeling they are keeping her for an important episode because there’s no way you’d have a post time skip Yoko show up briefly in the previous episode and then not show up at all. Other than my lengthy rant about Rossiu’s character this was an awesome episode all the same. |

Also why would the people be more mad at the property damage than at the prospect of being killed or having their families killed? This was the dumbest episode so far. A pathetic attempt at political intrigue. |
