According to Shueisha Super Dash Bunko, Matsu Tomohiro's light novel "Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! (Listen to me girls, I am your father!)" was announced to get an anime adaptation. Two manga adaptations will be serialized in Jump Square and Cookie magazines from this month.

Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! novel official website

Synopsis:
Segawa Yuta is a freshman of a university. He lost his parents when he was small and was raised by his sister Yuri. Yuta has been living alone since Yuri got married to a middle aged man when Yuta was a junior high student. One day, Yuri visited Yuta's apartment and asked him to take care of her three daughters while Yuri and her husband were on a trip. He unwillingly accepted the job but the plane Yuri took went missing. In order to prevent the daughters from being adopted separately by the relatives, Yuta decided to take in all the three girls. A life of a strange family in a tiny apartment begins. (The elder two of the daughters are stepchildren of Yuri's husband. The smallest one is Yuri's child.)

A seinen anime, huh? The plot doesn't sound that interesting, but I like the title~ I hope there will be comedy

I can't really get hyped with such a short summary, but I'll probably watch it anyways

I'd prefer it be straight up comedy, something heartwarming, or both and not some creepy romance thing.

Sounds generic, although I do wonder what the 10-year old "little demon" girl is like. Tsundere is a turn-off, though.

*Is hoping that Brains Base don't adapt this.*

Hmm, I'm liking the character designs. The plot looks kinda generic though. If it has some good comedy then maybe I'll watch it.

Well, with that tyitle I thought it'd be some shotacon yaoi, but seems like it won't.
We'll see how it does.

Generic plot? It sounds anything but generic to me. The character stereotypes do, the plot doesn't.

Sounds either like a happy go lucky slice of life, or a good ol' lolicon chaos. Yeah~ Not really interested but I'll give it a watch to see what it is in the end.

Read the synopsis. Think "oh, a story about the difficulties of raising kids, especially ones who aren't your own, but also about the strong binds of family as he wants to respect his sister's wishes and not split the kids apart".

Then I see it's by a man who worked on Queens Blade and Mayoi Neko Overrun, and suddenly the real intention becomes clear...

I have to agree, I too thought this was a lolicon anime, maybe because the art looks "similar" to Kodomo no Jikan.
I may watch it, i'll have to see.

Don't worry. It WILL be either JCStaff or ZEXCS.

Yeah, keep telling yourself that.

Hope that blood-related kid won't be involved in some questionable scenes. At least. Frankly, I'm not sure what to expect from this. Author of MNO! and some risky setting...

Because it looks like a complete waste of their budget. Keep the money for something that actually has potential. See:

Oh, and Brains Base have worked on Kure-nai (which I love, but apparently wasn't extremely faithful to the source material, so it flopped) and Akikan (...) from the same magazine that this is being published in, which is why there is a chance of them adapting it. Hopefully they know better.

Which one is the blod-related girl? The three year old? Oh, I see the more detailed synopsis now.

I'm guessing that the 10 year old girl is going to be perverted and assertive, and the novel covers (the second and the fourth in dtshyk link to the official site) appear to back that up, hence my interest in her (lolis are only hot when they are extremely perverted like that). The tsundere looks like one of the annoying ones, and the black-haired girl in the sixth cover is my type.

Overall, this looks like a miss (I don't watch anime for fanservice). I will keep an eye on it just in case, though.

This totally sounds like a JC Staff anime.
And I bet they'll end up butchering the source material, as usual. ┐( ̄ー ̄)┌

Lolol, me too! xD

Anyway, the character design looks... uh, nice. Lots of familiar-looking faces there, but still pleasant enough. I'll check it out. I'm betting it'd just be about him having a trouble getting a girlfriend in school because there are three troublemakers and conveniently cute looking girls in his house already. :O

The only thing that surprised me was the 'sister got married to a middle-aged man' bit. Wonder how old she was. O_O

Family tragedies? Being a parent? Wow, sounds like it could be a decent, heart-warming, family comedy/drama that I could really sink my teeth into. *sees picture on MAL page* ...Nevermind.

I found raw scans and read the 1st volume it's ok, the comedy is pretty good, and the girls can be some serious troublemakers though. I should read the other volumes though.

Interesting title...it looks kind of cliche in a way, but maybe it'll provide some much needed comedy.

Nah, it will probably be AIC that adapt this. They did Neko Overrun, and this is by the same author and published in the same magazine as Neko Overrun.

JC Staff don't really associate with this magazine, only doing 1 anime related to the novels published in Super Dash Bunko (ROD TV), and even that was pre-Shana, so J.C Staff is highly unlikely.

I spy a Haruhi/Yuri clone~
But really, seeing as the person behind Mayoi Neko Overrun made this, I'm not even going to bother.

The plot sounds interesting actually and like someone said, it isn't generic at all.
But "a tsundere (14 years)" has left me twitching a bit >.>

I really hope this'll turn out to be a heartwarming comedic show that's enjoyable to watch.
But judging by the pictures I've seen about this I'm unsure about this. I just really hope it doesn't turn into some weird harem...

The illustrations are by some female artist. Anyways, I read up to volume 5 and its not about harem. There's some realistic elements of raising three children and the difficulties that comes with it. There's comical moments and a gag fatso lolicon character(lol), a cool beauty who likes cute stuff, a bishounen with the charm to woo a girl and the personality of a saint with the ability to cook. The only person that's "normal/average" is again, the main character XDDDD.

I've read the 1st, 2nd and 3rd volume and to me, its not those generic harem stuff that you'll get from light novels. Its really heartwarming with lots of romance, comedy etc...

What's more, this reminds me of Usagi drop.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this series.
