Well, this makes sense so the manga can dish out a few more chapters at least.

I still don't understand why they chose to animate Vampire Knight before the manga finished (unless its close to finishing, which at the moment, I don't see that being any time soon - at least within the year (or maybe...I was always bad at judging length)).

Yes! I was thinking 13 episodes is way to short for Vampire Knight! I'm so happy there is going to a second season! I'll also have tune into the Vampire Knight: Cross Academy Broadcasting Club web radio show. Yay!

Frankly, I'm almost afraid, after what I have seen in the anime so far. The only redeeming point in the anime is Horie Yui doing an excellent job as Cross Yuki... -_-

The anime just doesn't do justice to the manga.

Exactly.

Frankly, I was hoping for the manga to end soon. After seeing the anime go bad, you just don't bother reading the manga. The same thing happened with Special A.

for someone who decided to read the manga after the anime finish airing, I guess I should start the manga after this season finish airing and actually judge whether I should continue...

I totally agree with you guys on the anime not living up to the manga thing.
I kinda drifted away from VK after the anime came out, and I didn't really like the anime enough to continue watching it. Which is a shame really; because I loved the manga and admiring the art in it.

Im somewhat surprised by this, I thought the anime wasn't being received too well in Japan- certainly not living up to all the hype from before it was released. As for making an anime while the manga is still being released, its fairly common.

Finally someone who understands... Same with Dazzle and FuruBa and more actually, which are also made into an anime by Studio Deen. Perhaps Studio Deen should do more anime-only or so and not manga to anime.

Anyhow, glad to hear that it's actually confirmed, even if I already thought so. Why? Now I'll be missing Kaname~kun! =(

ok....they better spend more time on the animation and come up with something better than this third-rate adaptation....

If it weren't for the manga (one of my favourite), I would have rated this series a petty 5/10 (failing grade)....
bla bla bla
The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

Vampire Knight has been an overall disappointment, in both manga and anime, so I guess this is... okay. At least they won't try to pull an original ending and completely disappoint the fans - like I'm guessing with my favorite anime of the spring season...

Smart move. The manga seems close to an end, so I guess this was the best decision.

I read the first volume before starting to watch the anime, and I didn't think that it was bad, it wasn't great but I don't think it was horrible. I enjoyed it for what it was.

After I watched the first few episodes, people kept saying how things were changed from the manga.. so I caught up in the manga and put the anime on hold. I dont think I want to watch the anime at all now, but I'm still reading the manga.. I cant believe people are actually not reading the manga at all though

I do agree that the anime isn't as good as the manga. However I only started reading the manga after I got hooked to the show. So for someone who hasn't read the entire series before watching, they could find the televised version quite good and end up reading the manga.

P.S. Is chapter 41 out yet, where can I find it? or when does it come out?

They must work on graphics and plot. Some episodes are so boring T_T I hope 2nd season will be better.

btw, I gave 7 points for anime. Maybe i'll decrease to 6. But I don't think that i'll increase more than 8.

it was the same for me! the anime was just interesting enough for me to keep watching, but i got so frustrated with the pacing and wanting to know more that i picked up the manga. it's good! very good! i never would've read it if the show hadn't been what it is.

Cool. I'll have to put that on my list of anime to watch for the fall season.

It's weird. The anime does follow the manga pretty well, but it's somehow not as good. I think it's the presentation. Oh well. XD

Although I see a lot of negative feedbacks, I think Vampire Knight is great! The only thing is that they split out the eps into two series which kinda pisses me off.
I mean, the series was way to short already, it was SUPPOSE to be 26 eps, but for some reasons they split it.

Well, Im looking forward to Oct, despite that school begins and I will have not much time watching anime
