Japan is a country, you need to add the Kanji for Person to make it stand for Japanese :P.

Well the Filipino's tend to have a more fair complexion than that of the Chinese and our eyes are not that small compared to other asians natives.

Yeah I've somehow seem to notice that quite a bit, is that one of the main reasons why I sometimes mistake a lot of Filipinos for being Chinese?

Well the Philippines have been trade partners with mainland China, even before Spain colonized our country. So the Filipino-Chinese is quite common amongst our citizens.

My mother's side of the family came to The United States from a country in Eastern Europe that no longer exists, so I have some mix from around that general area, but I don't know much about them before they came here. My dad's side of the family came over to the Americas back in the 1600s (it seems members of my family were among the original founders of Rhode Island) and is mostly mixed between various countries in the British Isles and Scandinavia.

My last name is actually Italian, but the biggest percentage wise would be Irish and Slovakian, and I don't think either of those would even exceed 20%.

Well, I am an American, for sure. My mother is from New York, city and state, and my father is from Illinois.

Farther back, on my father's side, there is a little bit of everything. Scottish and Irish are the more prominant of the smaller parts. There is more German than anything else, though. I don't really know much about the parternal side of my heritage, though, because they changed their last name when they came to America from Germany, and we don't see them.

On my mother's side, there is also a lot of German and a lot of Russian. I love my grandmother's history. Her family had to flee the Germans during the war, and it's amazing to think that at my age, she was rushing around Europe in a coach and buggy or trekking through strange forests to escape pursuing Nazis.

I find it funny that there is nothing even remotely close to Japanese or anything Asian (my maternal family were White Russians) and yet, I turned out an otaku ^_^

From my basic understanding I'm the 17th Century generation of a family from Central/South Asia, descending from Saudi Arabia with traces to Iraq and Iran; simply from Arabia to Iraq and then to the sub-Indian continent and currently Britain.

Quarter German, quarter Italian, both from my dad's side

And then my mom's side has a smattering of origins. Most notable are Welsh, English, Irish, and native American Cherokee.

None of these have any effect on my except for the Italian and German. They made me hairy.

Predominantly Scottish blood, that comes via a stint in England and then to Quebec.

I hate the heat, like wet climates and mountains.

Not sure what a cliche Scot is though, so doubt I can tell if I am indicative of one.

On the census, I write Canadian with no fucking hyphen though. I was made here and I was grown here.
While not technically anime, currently I am a big fan of Hatsune Miku.

Mostly Swedish, though I know for sure that I am a bit Estonian. Other than that I can't be sure because my great-grandfather's mother was basically raped by the farmer she worked for as a maid and his name isn't on the birth certificate.

... But, since many in my family (including I) have dark hair and dark eyes we can't be fully "Swedish" as racist as it may sound. So somewhere way back there are probably people with other nationalities. Ah well, I don't really care. ^^
