as the topic title suggests have you ever rewatched an anime and still got the same thrills you got the first time?

Yes, Code Geass, Death Note, Evangelion, Gundam 00, Darker than Black, Ga Rei Zero, Ergo Proxy, Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~, School Days, there's probably more that I'm forgetting. The only anime I re-watched and didn't get the same thrill was Elfen Lied.

Rarely. But there are a few shows that are done in a way that can make the rewatch a different kind of an exoerience. (And i'm not talking about uncensored DVD/BD)

I do, especially for One Piece since it's so long I tend to forget really important things that are revealed/explained at a later time. I've also re-watched most of my childhood anime (DBZ, CCS, Sailor Moon, etc) in Japanese but I don't know if that counts.

That counts since due to censors and removals of scenes for other reason, it will be a better experience if you watched the orginal Japanese Dub or a remastered version.

Watching a show for a second time often let's you notice some things you didn't notice before simply because you have knowledge of the whole show and sometimes there are little hints in a series you really only get when you've already watched it once.

So therefore watching a series a second time can be as fun as the first time, sometimes even more fun.

Whenever my cousins or friends come over I'm forced to rewatch the series but its fun to watch with people who've never seen it before.

I rewatch anime after a while when I’ve forgotten most of it, most are still enjoyable, and I like to go back and see all the hints and bits you wouldn’t understand without knowing what the ending is.
Rewatching an anime or anything else is still enjoyable, although often a different kind of enjoyment than from the first time.

There have been several I've watched twice. Usually the second time is with a friend or in a marathon with a club.
And a few I've seen three times, I believe. But these are extra-special, and I will likely see them again. =]
(e.g. Pandora Hearts, Angel Beats, Kino's Journey, etc)

Dragon ball Z, Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan and One Piece.

I can't rewatch anything not Shonen. Something like Death Note and Code Geass where the major source of entertainment comes from the suspense and wonder of what will come next isn't very enjoyable the second time round, I already know what's going to happen.

In a shonen, I can already guess what's going to happen even if i've never seen the anime, yet it's still enjoyable. The fights, the excitement and the emotion rips through, regardless of how many times i've seen it.

Everything in my top 5 minus "Michiko to Hatchin" which I recently added to it I've watched several times.

Outlaw Star I actually watched 3 times in a row. As soon as I finished it, I started it from episode 1 again and continued it for a third time. I was obsessed with it for a while a couple years ago.

It's hard for me to rewatch anime but I HAVe rewatched Hello Kitty, don't know how many times, Sonic X because it used to come on television for the last um... what was it? 7 or 8 years ago? And Cowboy Bebop because my cousins wanted to watch the whole thing all over again for Christmas.
Numbuh 3, you've got to get off the couch, you cannot sit in that tree house, girl you like Rainbow Monkeys so grab your little shit and then swing!

I've seen Earth Maiden Arjuna several times, but I honestly have no idea why. It's a guilty pleasure sort of show where I'll just sit back, relax and let them tell me how I'm killing the planet for thirteen episodes (god I love that show).

Lovely Complex three times, because it's awesome.

And finally The Twelve Kingdoms...I'm not even sure how many times, but I'm sure if I knew the number I'd be downright ashamed. I own that one on DVD and that's the show I go to when times are rough, when I'm bored, just because... The same could also be said for Full Moon wo Sagashite.

i rewatched some series ; most likely when i got too fascinated by an Anime but wasnt half statisfied by the ending

I Rewatched Akagi, One Outs, Air Gear, Claymore and Saki , i love these Series but they're simply open ended like hell , i rewatched them, and after experiencing the same ending and still not being statisfied i've begun to read the manga

It didnt gave me the same thrill as when watching the first time, but its still enough if the anime was great i guess
