God damn hilarious. I love it when Gintama takes something really simple and makes it funny and (strangely) profound with the Patriot "backstory". The KFC bit had me in fits. Considering most anime comedies get old for me after a dozen episodes, this show still manages to surprise me after 215.
Currently trying to make myself a Patriot right now :D
Is it me or has Hasegawa become a bit of a cosplay freak recently? Mecha-cardboard-Hasegawa and now Patriot version and pantsu-tenshi version!
Just after the awesome Kamui and Takasugi run, we are back to natural gintama - the original :D
The return of Daigoro +1 (I wonder whether he recognized Hasegawa)
Tsukki and Sa-chan-san <3
Hijikata awesomeness. +1
Tsukki losing it after trying to explain how it works. So adorable. +10
Otae beating the head out of Kondo. I literally paused to see her expressions. I swear she had the loveliest smile. +10
Tsukki and Sa-chan-san in school uniform. +100.
Kondo mama and Hasegawa papa :D +10
Kids still kicking Gintoki after all that show. +100
Amazing. I was laughing so hard. Best single episode yet! (wait, I say that after every such episode.) XD

any one realized that the Senyuu of that kid is actually Naruto, and the girl who is Kagura's friend is called Susike or something... I thought that is Naruto reference...(I never watch Naruto though~)

I can never tell what is filler and what isn't with Gintama, and I think that's what makes it so appealing to me.
this episode is a great metaphor for Gintama in general, I guess, it knows it's pretty useless and knows that some people will view it that way regardless, but it's important and has meaning to us and that is what matters in the end.
also side note: I've been unwell in many ways lately and having been contemplating some serious shit, this episode helped me a lot.
So much yes this episode, only complaint is WHERE WAS SOUGO?
Though it's great to see Tsukuyo again she needs more than just this to compensate. :P
I don't think there was a single part of this episode where I wasn't laughing. Just the pretend and everyone not knowing what the hell they were doing but acting as though they did. It's brilliant. Also the conveyor belt part just kept getting better and better. I love when the characters drop their usual personalities every so often and work together to create an even bigger joke. They all mesh so well with each other.
Also Gintoki with a beard!
Those kids don't understand the work that goes into those patriots. Ungrateful little...
Admittedly even without Sougo the character distribution in this episode was very generous and well-selected. Guess I'm just greedy. :P
