| Returning to this thread (as AMVs is something I really identify with). Question, when deciding 'hey I like this AMV enough to mention it at all', what is the most important aspect of the AMV (to you)? Is it the song? or is it the anime content? or is it the message in the lyrics as your ears perceive it? It's true I won't normally watch an AMV with anime I have no interest in (needs to be more than just an anime video), and I likely won't watch an AMV if the music in it wouldn't be permitted to be heard in my home (hey we all dislike something generally speaking), but I have found myself listening to genres of music I normally wouldn't listen to at all routinely, just so long as it is at least acceptable to the ears. But the video must have a message I can relate to. Otherwise it's just noise. I do NOT like Lady Gaga for instance, but, her song Born This Way has a message I find appealling. It's mostly the song I am listening to, and the anime match up needs to at least support the song. So to answer my own question, I guess the song is the most important, and the anime is a means to 'see' the song through my own needs for interpretation of the message. Not sure what was in her head when she wrote Born this Way, and to watch her own actual music video I am not sure I even want to know what was in her head. But it works for me. I am who I am, and I was born the way I am, even is a lot of me was unknown to me for a long time after being born. Some of me is a response to external forces working on me, but in the end, the response is just me responding in a way that would be me being me. I don't blame the mirror for the reflection eh. | Hmm today's discovery. When copy pasting a url from a YouTube link, make sure that the link was not derived from a video you reached via another video previously viewed on YouTube, as it adds trash to the url string that messes up the code here. In other words, make sure the url was derived from it being the first thing viewed on your visit to YouTube. |

| @Lesley: I really liked Rain Drops and Move Your Body was pretty good too. That was the first time I've heard either of those songs. Also, if it's only been a few minutes since your last post you should just edit your post instead of double posting. It's OK to double post if it's been at least a couple hours since your last post. |

That's not a good reason to dislike autotune because there are plenty of examples of songs where autotune enhances the vocals rather than covers up bad singing. Even if it covers up bad singing, if it sounds good who cares? I know you're not the one against autotune. I don't mind if someone dislikes autotune for whatever reason. That's a personal preference. I just don't buy the argument that it's simply because it covers up bad singing. I haven't watched a sports anime yet. Prince of tennis is at the top of my list due to Johnny Bosch voicing the lead character. If you don't know who Johnny Bosch is, he voiced Ichigo, Lelouch, Vash, and Sasori (from Naruto). Doesn't get any more epic than that. |

| @Lotus: Good point, there are a lot of songs that I've heard that sound really good with autotune. I liked that nightcore song. I haven't listend to much nightcore, but of all the ones I've heard that song you posted is the best. I also haven't seen any sports anime yet either. I'll probably end up watching Kuroko no Basket eventually because it looks interesting and I really like basketball. Another sports anime that I'm interested in is Eyeshield 21. @Minimiau: That's a really good AMV. The music is delightful, thanks for sharing. =) |

| @Lotus: I've seen a couple episodes of One Outs. That anime's got an interesting premise from the little that I saw. My interest fizzled out though, because I went on a One Piece craze and now I'm on a mecha mood. I've been watching Gundam Seed lately, it's been on my watch list for a while now. The OSTs in Gundam Seed are really good, it's a big reason why I'm continuing to watch the series; and I'm interested on how Gundam Seed Destiny's going be turn out if I get that far. I downloaded your nightcore file. Just need to figure out how to put them in a playlist so I can listen to them all while I'm surfing the net. I found this while I was AMV browsing on youtube.
