Hmm but I hope this show's entire premise wouldn't be about saving Mayuri only though.

Wow mayushii keeps on dying... This is so depressing. I feel like she is somewhat destined to die no matter what okarin does... Maybe if he sends a dmail back instead he can change the world line? Man...

I don't get it. There were like 2-3 people chasing after Okabe.

After Mayuri dies he knocks one back, understandable.. what happens to the other 1-2 guys. They just let him run off to the lab?
Seems like a plot hole to me.

WHAT THE FUCK? I'd break down if I saw my childhood friend die in front of me three fucking times. This anime is blowning my mind, only 2 episodes with twists (so far) and yet it's the most times I've said what the fuck out loud while watching an anime.

Why did Okarin have to time leap? He already has the ability to retain his memory of the potential future when he switched between timelines. If anything it would be smart to explain the situation to Daru and/or Kurisu and then have one of them time leap so that they can help. Unless for some reason Okarin DOES need to time leap to retain his memories, though that seems like it would be contradictory. Actually, if I were Okarin, the first thing I'd do is talk to Suzu. She is CLEARLY not what she seems, so confronting her would likely be your best bet.

Mayuri is like an OTP with Okarin.... but people would say otherwise because they like Kurisu better. But Mayuri is BEST GIRL!

I almost cried and it hurts to see Mayuri died multiple times in this episode. As if it doesn't hurt enough the first time in the last episode. So this means that Mayuri's death is inevitable? Are you saying that one can't change the outcome of deaths? Okarin you can do it. You can change. Don't give up! DONT GIVE UP!

I feel bad for Okarin. Watching Mayuri die over and over agian must be so hard for him. He wants to save her, but it seems like fate isn't letting him.

So, it seems as if she is inevitably always going to die at that time or he needs to stay the hell away from her around that time.

I don't think he can escape it. And Rukaru is very suspicious. I think she was the one who leaked where they would be for the party.

Let's see how he turns this around.

God that was torture. We even saw an 8 year-old accidentally push a girl in front of train. I was very bored with this anime for a while and eager for things to pick up, but now I almost regret that...

However, I don't understand why SERN doesn't secure the apartment after the first time. Wasn't their goal the time machine? Why are they letting Okabe reroll as much as he wants?

The 1st death was bad enough, hit me like a bloody bus.
2nd death was just more depressing.
3rd death just gut punched me out of nowhere, seeing Nae accidentally Mayuri, the feels...

Well, now he's seen Kurisu get killed as well...the fact that Okabe was able to escape back to the lab after Mayuri got ran over by a car is a bit of a plot hole though...were they NOT trying to detain him? Were they allowing him to do this?

This is making me uncomfortable....she is dying in every world line...don't tell me that fate exists in this anime and....she is destined to die. No matter how many innovative ways he comes up with to save her, she will die...

Although, didn't she suggest something earlier that Okabe was destined to die, and then her praying "saved" him? That he felt the same kind of jump as he does when he switches world lines? So perhaps death isn't left to fate..... boy, do I hope that I'm right...

HOLY CRAP! this episode was depressing and so far the train death was the worst since it scard a little girl for life. It must be killing him to see his good friend die over and over.Though one thing that kept me laughing was the watch part. No matter what it was always cracked even when it made zero sense to be. Event the first death it made no sense.

That last death made me laugh. Reminding me of the death scenes from Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise.

I might have reached the middle point of this show and it's starting to show the faults of time travel stories. It's becoming a clusterfuck of cause and effect and paradoxes.

She died.. so he time leapt.. but then again she died.. in a different way..
So he time leapt again.. but then again she died... in a different way.. and this time... it's revealed her death is at 20:00 or around that time..

Final Destination + Re:Zero, anyone?

Anyway.. it's his 3rd time leap at the end..

[Rewatch - BD version]

The tint of the series gets darker...
Mayuri dies everytime, in every try. The timeline demands that she dies and Okabe can't find out how to avoid it.

Okabe's expressions and reactions where overwhelming...
I felt i chill down my spine when Mayuri died because of the train and well...Nae...

The first time she died after the gunshot from Moeka, I knew it would probably end up as a situation where you can't change fate. How many more times will he attempt to save her and fail? I'm really interested to see if he keeps trying, or if he has to accept it and let her die. What other events wouldn't be changed? I saw someone say he should just stay away from her - maybe that's what'll happen.

Why the hell is Mayuri getting killed in every jump back? Is death unavoidable for her?

This anime went from 0-100 and I love it

Just asking, but is the Phone Microwave thing incapable of sending D-mails now? That could've been quite convenient - send a mail to any point in the past, alter the present and future --> save Mayuri, and stop(?) Moeka.

That won't work. ;) Even if it could, the contents of the D-Mail would have unforeseen consequences that could lead to even worse effects.

He needs to use a D-mail.

If he uses a D-Mail she still end up dying in this worldline and it will be out of his hands.
As it is he's actually leaping back to the exact same worldline instead of entering another.
Yeah, I thought so too, but he isn't 'originally' from this timeline either, so why does it matter?

Also, this makes me wonder, what happens to the Okabe that remains? in the world line, when the 'original' switches to another? (Assuming that he does remain.) Do they retain memories? I think they'd move onto a separate story line. What do you guys think?

'Reading Steiner' sure is handy tho - switch over whenever life gets shit lol

Ooh thanks for the quick reply :)
Well we don't have any guarantee that it will lead to worse effects, do we? Spamming the D-mail until he gets a satisfactory result would of course create that many world lines and huge number of events probably resulting in enormous chaos, but does he care as long as his friends are safe?

:((( ok damn lol I will watch it haha
just curious xD

There's only one active worldline. The world is just rebuild and everyone's memories are rewritten to fit. Okabe's Reading Steiner prevents his old memories from being erased, but at the same time he doesn't remember what happened in the past of this new worldline, which is opposite of what others experience.

Well, Faris' mail already showed what effect such a random mail could lead to. It's very risky to try doing it again. With time leap at least he has more control over what happens, but it's limited to only 2 days behind.

Great. You are dead 2 times already , unconscious , but some guy turns back time and you are alive and well again. Good thing at least that you can't escape what happened originally yet.. Okabe seems like he can just use this leap daily now and repeat the world every single day infinitely and rewrite memories of every 7 billion people currently living and make the whole world stuck in 24-hour limit. This turns out that now he's really the one who 'controls' the world.. Everything just feels to strange.
