THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
So the end shows a lovely date that was enjoyable as follows,

it was very nice as it sparkled at night and such a nice hand joining gesture. Not to mention that all the rides and places were all VIP only them in the spoiler
talk about a Royal VIP treatment. The ice cream part was so ironic, one cone is vanilla/chocolate while the other is vanilla/strawberry. Interesting meaning. Loved seeing both Naoya and Astarotte red faced at the dual straw drink. VIP served. Now we all know that Naoya cannot resist a what? What? Love confession from Astarotte in her crying state in the spoiler
OMG she really confessed and it's the real love deal as in lover. Holy crap she did it! But what is this? It all follows with a perfect love moment for a kiss and it turns to the pic above visible. Well that is disappointing TBH but there was a adorable pinky promise. Adorable love but not serious except for the confession that gives it out a serious Tone. Although short, the fan service of Astarotte in the spoiler
was fine enough.

Ingrid is a freaking genius as he is deemed worthy far surpassing herself in the following,

holy crap! Ingrid mastered a gate invention that keeps the tree stable and connected constantly to other realms. The exact functions are not clear to me but what is clear is that the gate portal itself has Celtic/Norse symbols and has a propellant like a windmill. It looks to spew out magic, maybe the excess that is to never build up and cause problems like it did to Naoya/Asuha before. Ingrid will be so much in shit if it fails at some point because it will reject lots of people it deems a nuisance. Well, Mercelida was quite fine herself opening up the gate to all.

In the end Naoya comes back! Astarotte's crying got me sad there for some time but OMG @ the spoiler
Astarotte's maturing symbol is all over her as a proof she shall get wings soon enough. This time it's the real one.

Now in regards to all the series, it was a fun comedy. Astarotte was definitely funny but Asuha was not forgettable either. The prince was really the annoying one. Well anyway I shall comment later but it's been quite the ecchi DFC/loli and comedy ride with this series. I found funny and daring to say the least.

I shall stay at a 8/10 for this one. Of course a redeem is possible with the BDs to be seen. So far Oretachi and Softenni are doing a good job in that field.

BTW: intermission in the spoiler

The date was great and heartwarming and so is the ending, a second anime with interdimensional calling and the second where the main characters can return to the other world at the end (Dog Days being the other anime with both of these). The series was great, heartwarming, and most characters were excellent characters and fanservice. The best anime of the Spring.

10/10

Second Season if possible is something I want.

Ah that was a good ending. I think it could've been a little better, but I guess that's how it should end. At the end it shows that Lotte got the mark that signifies that she's grown into an adult.

Maybe a season 2 will be involved. They said that the tree will be opened to the other realms. Who knows what thing might come out of those realms and Ini said that it's up to the people to how they use it, so someone might use it for bad things. Anyways that's my reason for a season 2.

I can't see this to be a moderate or seriously violent series like Dog Days, but you do have somewhat of a right idea especially when it comes to the tree being opened to all realms. Maybe a second season where all realms unite in harmony will be a better bet.

I was disappointed with the first two episodes, i though this was going to be one more of the bunch of tsun girl and dat dude. This anime really made something worth watching (and re-watching). I would have prefer them ending this at minute 10 (content wise, not a 10min episode) but a happy ending is always welcome.

8/10 - Very entertaining... maybe a 9

I would prefer no season 2, let it die here, its fine and sometime is better to quit while you are ahead. I don't see anything that might follow been nearly as good as what they just showed us.
huh?

Excellent and heartwarming episode just like Dog Days. Great character and im sure i wont forget them for a long time. This season really delivered lots of great heartwarming such as AnoHi, Dog Days and Astarotte no Omocha.

However there is one point im confused about. ISNT ASUHA ORIGINALLY FROM THE MONSTER REALM? The Queen went to the human realm and entrusted Asuha to Naoya so why is the World Tree trying to get rid of her when shes originally from that realm?

Overall 9/10. Really enjoyed this series <3 heartwarming anime.
Hope Next season will be able to deliver more anime like this.

It would be a rather bad way to end it if it only gets 1 season. It makes it seem like Lotte & Naoya fall in love without Lotte knowing she has a half-sister & that Naoya slept with the queen before Lotte was born.

I am puzzled why they went from not being able to hear each other last episode to hearing each other right before they left the creature realm. Seems like something needed an explanation that never got one.

I'm guessing the OVA will make up for the censored fanservice throughout the season.

Probably due to Asuha sharing some of Naoya's genes, which saw her as a contamination too.

As for why not when she was 3-years old? The Queen never said the exact reason why she had Asuha live with Naoya. Naoya assumed it was due to the Queen's sisters killing each other and she didn't want that to happen to Lotte & Asuha. So maybe World Tree was trying to reject her then too?

This would only be relevant if he had lingering feelings for her, which he doesn't. He "loves" her for giving her Asuha, but he doesn't love her in that kind of way. It's of course hinted that Queen does have a preference of Naoya over other men.

They couldn't hear each other during the whole date... that is why she cried the way she did, and probably that is why she didn't kiss him. It implies they connect and could undersood their emotions/feelings and jadi jadi jada, all the squishy smushi stuff. That is why at the end he didn't told her "I Love You" from the get go, but a lame "I'm Back"

ArcanaTrace said:

It is my theory *House Face* that the tree got unstable because of Lotte's unresolved feelings on proximity to her coming to age ritual. This would explain also why the Queen was able to go to the human realm (remember at the beginning this was suppose to be impossible) when she was as well "confuse" and felt better after raping a poor 12 y/o boy (j/k... maybe)

Just wondering, I'm aware this is base on a manga, but how ahead is the manga from the story, is there really something else after this rather than cute character doing cute things? I really enjoy this anime because it tackled some rather awkward topics in a interesting and fun way, but besides them getting it on, and Lotte's finding out about Asuha's secret there is not much story i see for a season 2 =

The mark happened about 3 times I think. Either way, Judit's punishment was funny.
Since the succubus mark appeared, does that mean there won't be a second season? Since the atmosphere of the show will change completely if Astarotte grows up. (I do hope there is a second season though)

Ending a bit too awkward for my taste and it seems like the show was changed around a bit like the anime for fortune arterial. The manga seems a bit different though only has been subbed to chapter 20 but so far haven't seen much of a romance between Naoya and Lotte more like a father-daughter relationship IMO
