| Long running anime generally turn to fillers because they need to let the manga get further ahead. Examples of this are of course the original Naruto & Bleach. I'd be happy if this season ended with 25 episodes and a season 2 was announced with another 25 episodes once the manga had proceeded far enough ahead that the anime wouldn't need to resort to any fillers :) |

| well I really like that AnE got 25 episodes, it's better to have next year a new season with awesome things and not so many fillers to just get it go on while waiting for new things from the manga =) and next year it could still get more episodes but 2 seasons will sure be allright for this anime =3 so it will be like a higher class anime that isn't like all those everyone watches them bleach and naruto [it will be like fma and get a totatly new serie in 5 - 7 years where they tell now the whole story *o*!!] |

| At least its not a 13 episode anime. 25 episode is a good thing because most animes runs between 11-13 episodes. This anime will last until the end of fall. That's 6 months of Awesomeness. |

The anime has so far only animated up to Chapter 8 of the manga in episode 10. The next episode (epi 11) is a filler and I have a feeling that there will be more anime-only filler episodes. In chapter 25 of the manga, its right-bang in the middle of an arc. This arc started about Chapter 16 as well. I think the anime will adapt up to Chapter 15 of the manga and probably will go into an anime-only arc or actually just rush the current arc and come up with an anime-only ending. Second season will probably take a while to be made....1 or 2 years probably depending on how much of the manga they're incorporating and how much they make the series filler-y. |

There was also a four month wait between seasons. BUT you could also argue TWGOK has shorter manga chapters than ANE, yet still when you put it to a 2:1 ratio TWGOK has about 53 chapters not animated after 24 episodes. That's why I and maybe this other person feel its unfair. However I like this show so I'll enjoy whatever they throw at me. |

| Was surprised when they said it might go for 25 eps, it was first decided that this and DW were both going to be 12 ep series and both get a second season. Though imo, if this goes well i dont see why not.... they could make a second season or a movie xD |

Unless they manufacture a hasty ending (never good and basically a bail out) they will wait a few seasons to let the manga get ahead -- could indeed be a year like Bakuman. I think the sales will be enough to merit not dropping it. |

Gundam AGE takes the Nichigo slot in the fall and runs for a year after that, so yeah, the next possibility of a new Exorcist season is Fall '12. I can't see them just not making new content for this considering that the anime has drastically increased the sales of the manga (sales were like 50-80k before the announcement of an anime, and now sales are in the in the 400-500k range and still rising), the ratings are good, and the disc sales are phenomenal. It just hits all the marks for being successful beyond anyone's expectations. It's pretty much a FMA repeat, on a lower scale. |

That's all thanks to anime scriptwriters and Ao no Exorcist is not the first to start with such low materials, for example the first TV series for Fullmetal Alchemist started up while the manga was only had 20+ chapters..
