Pollyanna tends to be a character that polarizes people. Most of the folks who don't like Pollyanna because of her gladness has unfortunately missed the point of the story. The other thing that needs to be realized is that in modern society, being a "Pollyanna" is seen as a negative, rather than a positive. That is, again, caused by misunderstanding the point of the story. |
