Thx for link Bill. I went there, didn't find your wallpaper but found few other awesome Evangelion wallpapers.
In the end found GITS and Kusanagi wallpaper that I liked more than Evangelion ones:

That didn't last long because I somehow ended up on Joss Stone wallpapers and this is what I have now:

Its pretty nice photo but I have a feeling it won't last long.

Pretty nice wallpapers in desktopnexus indeed. Well, my own wallpaper is the first one Google's image search offered me when I was looking for Monster wallpaper. I was pleasantly surprised to found something so cool at the first try, kudos to whoever has made it.

I really like the Monster wallpaper although I find it a bit creepy. Maybe it's only because of the font that's on his clothes, that looks a bit like blood.

Nice scene, but a bit blurry. Is this actually a wallpaper? Looks just like a normal screenshot that you resized.

Abroad fees for data are brutal, afaik. Your laziness be blessed!

90% of people that I "met" (used to work for a year and a few months for Pelephone, a big cellphone company here ) during customer service convos had generous (5-10GB) data packages in their iPhone 3GS/4 deals. So if they can pay, they will use it =P

That iPhone life cycle seems surprisingly accurate considering the status Jobs had among apple fanboys and girls =P

And yeah, that wallpaper is pretty good, I like it a lot too. The anime, even more.

edit: weeding out horrible grammar, lol

Feel no shame, (Ubuntu 10.10) Linux is 1000x less user friendly than your latest windows releases. With much less software available, and much less driver support.

I would only consider Linux for a programmer. The compilers available for Linux blow away the ones for windows. Also decent for legacy hardware, Pentium II's, K-6 2's, early Pentium III's...

Besides, Torvalds is long out of active participation in development of the kernel, so the Finn in it is going away =P

Don't care much for free wifi. I have a 3G data USB stick, no more searching for free wifi for me =P

I guess that's not a bad price for 3G USB stick, but does that work abroad? My 3G connection only works within the nation. My mom pays my phone bills so I dunno how much and what kind of connection it actually is.

Yeah, i have been satisfied to Win7 so far.

LOL, theres so much wrong here I don't know where to start.

Ubuntu actually is more user friendly than windows and no I'm no linux fanboy cause I dualboot win7. It just so happens that 99% of time I'm in linux.
After you install Windows you have a day of getting right drivers downloading, updating, finding programs...
On linux pretty much everything runs out of the box.
Well there can be some problems with Broadcom wireless chipsets(you have to manualy install driver(on Windows you have to do the same with almost all of them)) or some webcams, maybe bluetooth. But whatever it is it can easily be solved searching the internet or asking on forums(lots of people willing to help you).
Linux really has come a long way since I started using it when you really did have to pretty much hack your way throught. Today is everything one click away.
On my Thinkpad t60p everything runs out of the box(ok, I'm lying modem doesn't but who cares about modem).
On my PC everything runs out of the box.
So all in all you should be good, but you can always try it first through live CD(best way imo is making a bootable usb thumb drive).

If you are not using your PC to play games or some strange programs, you have all you need on linux(firefox, thunderbird, opera, chrome, skype...) or there are alternatives(libreoffice, mplayer...) and theres always running native windows apps through wine.
Lately older software even runs better on linux through wine than on Win Vista and Win 7(know firsthand) but thats older software.

Gcc isn't really so much better than Visuals studios C++ compailer, check tests. Visual studios just adds some strange bloatware and files are larger but omg Visual Studio is the best IDE that I have ever used.

You can run linux easily on legacy hardware(that can't run Win) but you have to chose specialized distros(Xubuntu) cause it won't run latest Ubuntu or Fedora(they actually are more needy than Win XP).

Torvalds is actively participating in development of kernel and he is the last person to say what goes or doesn't go into kernel.
Latest kernel merge window: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=MTA0NTQ

@Nosferatu I'll check it out on live CD but probably won't install cause it uses Gnome3 with shell and installs a lot of programs by default I like my system clean.

@Jeigan It's not that it sucks it just takes some getting used to. It's fast becoming a lot better(and gnome shell is too, especialy cinnemon fork)). Its just that I don't wanna change what I'm used to and feel comfortable with.
At my work everybody uses macs(mostly designers) so I tried to for a day, almost threw that piece of shit out through the window LOL. Finder just works so strange, like if you minimize something you can't alt tab through it(if I remember correctly). There were many small things that made it unbearable for me. If I have to choose Win or Mac, Win any day.

For those TLDR: Linux IS easy to use, pretty much everything works out of the box. If you want to try it get "Linux Mint" you will feel right at home.

PS get 32bit not 64bit for one thing only, Flash doesn't work right on 64bit, its cause Adobe is really lazy fixing it and its closed software so people can't fix it. On the good side with html5 were moving away from flash :)
