ahahaha... davis... oh man, its "big"... most of it is pasture... and its just all spread out, its not necessarily all that big when it comes to how much stuff is on campus, more big as in land size...

What year? since you can get past freshman without a major, sophomores really need to pick one... because they need to pick which path to take at the end of the year... (for most, for me, you need to start with a major, we take major classes with GE and support classes at the same time)

Looks like we have plenty of people from the Philippines here, along with USA and a couple from the EU.

American River College is a community college/Junior college, there is NO "ranking" shit whatsoever.

Even if there was, I don't give a damn. I'm just going there for the anime & games club, that's it. Once I get tired of anime & games or once the club gets disbanded, whichever comes first, I plan on not going there anymore.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to... um... not go to college and just hang out with friends?

Also, ranking is very important. It decides whether or not the money you spend is worthwhile. The only difference is medical school really (with exception of a few, you want to make sure it is the accredited), and that is because a doctor is a doctor.

um... i dunno what to say... to just drop out on a whim from college... sigh...

but anyways, @sakuko im going to add that it helps to go to good schools too... the better it is, the more likely it has connections that you can take advantage of and score a good job out of college. like my shit, Cal-Poly, for engineering, its one of the best, and 98% of our engineering grads get a job in their field within a year of graduating. that shit is pretty good if I do say so myself. we got nice companies lining up to hire and give out internships to our students, companies like Boeing and Lockheed Martin for example.

if you think about it, med school is pretty crazy anyways, if the school is good enough to have one, its gonna be good anyways, right? They arent very common in the first place... plus, there arnt enough doctors around the world anyways so its not a very competitive job market...

Well it for sure would be cheaper not to pay for college just for being in one club, well at least if it would give you some, say, profit... knowledge, connections, access to information, well anything you could use to gain, it could be worth the price then... but well...

Unless you're lucky not to have to pay for college (on the other hand costs of living make you go on red 99% time...), as it's here...
And what's funnier it doesn't mean that the schools are worse, well it's kinda fishy cause they get refunds from goverment for each student that is on the second semester (thus they take well many people, let them stay until first year ends and then exam come and they usually get kicked if they were jerking off all the time). it sucks big time, cause first year suffers alot (not enough laboratory places etc.)...

Anyways, most of my yearmates already had worked for some big companies, and there are always guys checking students and their abilities... well the best ones get scholarships and job offers... many actually drop out on purpose on 3rd or 4th year just because they got an awesome workplace....

@med schools, well they're unique, there mustn't be 'worse' school since from the experience and knowledge of the future docs our life can depend... And they make sure they let only the good ones through the whole studies i belive ;p a doc is a doc indeed

My friends are always busy and never have any time for me "cries".

In fact, not a single one of them have called me in MONTHS. Some even a year.

Besides, only a couple of them are into manga & anime, the rest don't even know what manga and/or anime is, sigh :(.
