definitely Deadman Wonderland, had a nice concept but the story ended up becoming a stretched anime series like bleach

Fractale: Started out decently. Characters weren't top notch but the setting was interesting and it had a few interesting twists... then it got awkward

To Aru Majutsu no Index: Started off with a fairly interesting tale about corruption in the church all revolving around this little girl in a nun outfit. A couple interesting twists, all in all a powerful start to the series that got me very invested. And then....

Mirai Nikki: Going on the manga here but from what I hear the anime is pretty similar. Cool premise, handled quite well for the first few battles, but then it starts to enter wacky ville... and the plot holes begin to add up.

agree with index.

before I watch it, I don't expect anything. watched 5 eps, I started thinking this anime good. more than 10 eps, I hate this show!

Certainly nothing could match the intensity the first couple of episodes. But the happier slice of lifey take on all the characters as they're grown up has its charm.
What do you think you're piloting? Great Mazinger? Dangaioh? For Pete's sake, this isn't some robot cartoon whose main character is an autistic kid or some punk. - Kiichi Goto, Mobile Police Patlabor

Most of the 200+ episode animes(you knoww -.-)
Angel beats was extremely rushed, throwing away most of the characters without stories..but the ending was still satisfying.

There should be quiet a bit but the one I remember now is More Bokura ga Ita . After 12 episode or something I really started to hate it . I think it was mainly because of the main girl . Acting dumb and stuff. She was racing with the girl from Kimi no Todoke at being dumb , really even though they have their own reasons , I don't care , just GTFO

This Ugly Yet Beautiful World.

Interesting setup that went to hell in the last couple of episodes.

Hanasaku Iroha. Really liked the first half, but the second half was just dumb and boring.

Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol.

Full Metal Alchemist (2003). The anime original part of it is actually quite good considering, but compared to the manga/Brotherhood, it's lacking.

Lacking what? The cliched shonen-type villain and ending like in BH? What exactly?

True. I honestly wished that instead of doing what they did in the second season, they would have explained the contractors and the gates some more. The series would've been a lot better if this was done.

Berserk - It was really great, excluding that whole demon hell thing at the end. It ruined it all for me. Well I still ranked it high in my list but...

Soul Eater
Claymore

These are the ones that pop up right away...

I LOVE Tiger & Bunny. Please don't get me wrong here. I absolutely adore that show and its characters. However, the last couple of episodes leading up to the ending weren't up to par with the rest of the series, which was disappointing. HOWEVER, I still love the show to pieces.

The prime example though, is Eden of the East. Amazing first few episodes, huge potential to land in my top 3. Ultimately disappoints me greatly and leaves me a bit sad whenever I think about it to this day. I really wish that show met my expectations. :(

Bleach and Durarara. Bleach takes forever to kill one guy and Durarara was talking and no action.

The epic ending to Brotherhood is infinitely more entertaining than the one for the first series. No other ending in anime has ever been so thoroughly, satisfyingly conclusive.

Monster.
I heard great reviews and ratings of it but I simply can't make myself to watch it after 15th episode. Several times I've tried to watch it in hope that it sure will get awesome but every time it disappoints me!

Hey guys and girls ^^

There are just 2 anime's that were great on beguining but then went totally downwards, to me.

Naruto and Bleach..

Explanations:
Naruto was great. TOTALLY GREAT! But then Naruto Shippuden showed up. It had very boring story and many long-unneeded fights. and whats best, it just keeps going down and down.. Now even Itachi fights for Konoha? Damn, I can't even force myself to watch Naruto ever again..
Bleach - It was epic until Aizen was killed. now its just boring and way out of story...

Well usually I'd agree with you, because I have a particular distaste for shonen cliches, but BH was much more exciting for me. The original FMA lacks many of my fav characters (Olivier Mira Armstrong, Lan Fan, Ling, May etc) and overall the supporting cast was better fleshed out. But I still like the anime original part of the 2003 version, and I can understand why some would prefer it.

so...where does the "starts great but goes downhill" fit in this? if anything, wouldn't it be the other way around? Starts slow and gets better by the end?

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

Deadman Wonderland had a disappointing ending, I was drawn in during the first few episodes but they somehow put me off as it went in. Also Bleach but that could just be down to the sheer amount of fillers I've sat through.

Naruto - dropped both anime and manga when it became Sasuke-focued (this might be just me!)

Persona Trinity Soul - idk...I found it boring orz ._.

season 2 of TMHS - if only endless 8 didn't literally last for 8 episodes D:

I know I could think of some other titles...let me get back to this D8

Damn, I totally forgot about Darker than Black. The story went absolutely absurd after the 1st season, it just totally didn't make any sense anymore. It wasn't bad, it still had top-notch action, but kinda disappointing nonetheless.

In my opinion...

C - I really loved the plot of the story, but it left a lot of plot holes.
No. 6 - dunno the reason, I just think it went downhill.
Angel Beats - the first episode was a disappointment and remained until the end.
IS - Infinite Stratos - I really loved this anime because of those exoskeleton armors.. but it went down to harem. Not that I hate harem but it destroyed the story. Hopefully it gets a second season to see more.
