and also this thing about colds (OH IT'S REALLY COLD HERE, COME INSIDE BEFORE YOU CATCH ONE), it seems like anime characters have a weak immune system when it comes to catching them o.o'

You know what makes me sad? Internet percentages and hyperbole. One dude hates that anime is obsessed with loli characters and you say 90% of anime have big boobs...If both statements are true then it seems like anime is trying to satisfy a couple of fetishes people have, and since anime is still pretty damn popular it seems the attempt a success.

Yeah, I agree with you. It's kinda boring for me if there's a series which lacks fan-service. :O

I believe they bleed because they aren't prepared. But for me, in hentai, that kind of thing made me cringed.

I have a hard time believing that a virgin would bleed without preparation from a normal guy, but then be able to take some huge monster thing without preparation just fine just because she's not a virgin anymore. I know that hentai is far from realistic, but this in particular really bothers me for some reason.

I'm getting tired of seeing every character from and anime is in HIGH SCHOOL! It was okay at first but after a couple of years, it gets old.

I want to see more college students or characters already out of school.

If I can put one out for it's merchandise, how expensive that stuff is. A stuffed animal can cost me a dollar at Walgreens, where it's $16.99 for an anime-related plush at China Capital Arts. I know all about why it is and has to be that way- the difference between a standalone product and actual merchandise of a fandom- but that doesn't stop it from being annoying.

OT: Tsunderes and most things that come with them. Why are none of these girls slapped with disciplinary action or assault charges? Also when the MC in a harem isn't like Tomoya or Yuuichi. They really all should be. On that note guys in anime who get unnaturally nervous and/or perverted in the presence of girls. It's an insult to my gender. :p Not to mention the typical tsundere "misunderstanding". Makes me cringe at the very thought of it.

Perverts like Master Roshi or Kimura are cool though.

How are they hard to deal with? There isn't any anime out that has interaction with fanboys/fangirls be mandatory. Participating in things where fanboys/fangirls hangout like conventions, anime clubs, anime centric forums, etc are all optional and completely separate from anime itself.

There's two things I rather dislike.
1. When the characters are wearing the same outfit, all, of, the time. Even school uniform they appear to wear out of school.. is that a norm of society in Japan? We don't do that in Britain :/

2. I know it's meant to be a part of the whole suspense of the anime, but me being a fan of romance it bugs me when they don't admit to liking one another when it's blatantly obvious, yet the other character is oblivious to it, how about you guys? :')
You're still the one that I love, the only one I dream of~

I dislike *most* Loli's. I just dont get it. Some offer some good comedic value to thier series or episodes they are in when used properly and sparsely as distant background characters, but those annoying ones in every single episode or especially when they put a huge sexual preference on them. Ungh.

Not sure if I can remember everything but some things that come to mind:

  • Heavily and extremely obvious CGI focused objects in a 2D series. (Example: Vandread's horrible mecha CGI, Blassreiter 'I'm not even sure what it was since I couldn't stand watching it' CGI, Dragonauts horrible mecha or dragon or whatever it was CGI, etc. I could name on for quite a while.)

  • Pointless build ups. (Example: Multiple episodes from Tari Tari. Expecting some amazing, encouraging or motivational song/songs but we get some 'meh' song with 'meh' results.)

  • Weak fanservice in a ecchi series. (Example: Rosario Vampire anime. Nothing but shitty panty shots. I don't care if you don't have a frigging plot but at least give some god dam quality service scenes.)

  • Out of place characters and character designs. (Example: What's his name MC from Accel World. Regardless if he's fat or not, his character design is way to out of place. Franky from One Piece bothers me as well in this category because all of his random ass mechas.)

That's all that comes to mind at the moment.

There are a lot of things I hate about anime. Though I'll just include a few things:

- Dumb characters. Especially when it concerns a main character. I'm not really looking for the smartest or perfect character in the universe or anything--far from it; I'd like characters to be at least competent enough to know what's going on around them and act accordingly, not be too dense when it comes to romance, crap like that. There are also some times when a show tries too hard to be smart, but it comes off as goofy and unconvincing. Can't think of any right now, but they're certainly out there.

- Cliched moments and dialogue. Seriously, too much of: "I'M GOING TO SAVE YOU!," "T-t-the truth is, I...I-I...!", "No! Don't give up!", "BAKA!", "Why? WHY!?", "Why do I exist!?", "Don't get me wrong! I'm only doing this because blah blah blah. Fucking. Blah. All of this is waaaay overdone.

- Unnecessary drama. Characters being sad or breaking down in the corniest ways possible. Usually yelling "LIAR!" while crying their eyes out.

- Certain character stereotypes. Like the shy, introverted girl who blushes every five seconds, stutters alot, and has this soft, high-pitched voice. Also, tsunderes. I'm really getting to the point (a little late, sure) when I really want to strangle those characters to death.

- Dumb plot twists/reveals. Example? Naruto. That is all.

@Paul and @clammer brought up some fanservice issues I agree with. I'm not opposed to fanservice at all. You can do sexy in an anime. However, implementing that to 10 year-old characters, coupled with panty shots, constant breast bounce (in which, bust size is usually too big and a fucking turn-off), all that shit, then you can go to hell.

Characters who are excessively weepy. I don't mind a character showing emotion, but if they keep crying over every little thing, then I stop feeling sorry for them and just get annoyed instead. If it gets really bad, I lose the emotional connection altogether. Examples of this type of character are Risa Koizumi from Lovely Complex and Iku Kasahara from Library War.

When shows try to seem edgy, dark and mature by throwing in a lot of blood and nudity. I like excessive blood and nudity but it's best when it's done in a cynical or tongue-in-cheek way. When they try to be all serious about it... it's a huge turn off.

Unfinished OVAs and anime series.
Sporadic release schedule for OVAs and additional seasons of anime.

and the thing I hate most are recap episodes.Recap episodes are just cut and pasted reruns.Who in the fuck wants to watch cut and pasted reruns, especially in a 12-24 episode series?Who ever invented and whoever makes recaps should have their nuts stomped on.As a matter of fact it should be a global holiday where people march up to those douchebags houses and stomp their nuts.If a series actually needs a recap then it should only a be a few minutes long and thats it. There is no reason to have a whole recape episode.

That cliché 'good guy gone evil' thing, like Ichigo in Bleach and Inuyasha (to name a few terrible examples). They turn evil and destructive for one or two episodes then go back to normal, only for it to sometimes happen again for a few minutes or half an episode.

It's overdone and boring. YES, WE GET IT, they have an evil side somewhere. Whooo.

I read somewhere that certain producers of Anime (or any media in general) created stupid characters for the sake of the audience, because if people had to take in Death Note's long analytical explanations all the time, the audience wouldn't get it. So to counteract that, they had the characters seem completely lost even to the most common sense explanations so they could have an excuse to explain everything in even FURTHER detail.
This is common in western shows as well.

I hate that so much. I hate it when a villain or side character explains something to the main and they just go "I don't get it" or ask to explain it again when it's very clear what they meant.
I just.
I can't.
URGH.
Screw the stupid audience, make them think and make smarter characters!

Also the Tsundere "I'm not doing this because i wanted to help you or anything!" or some BS like that. It's become a very common line and i want it to die.

I can't stand hypocritical idealistic characters. Basically, characters who do the opposite of what they say. And yes, I'm looking at Suzaku from the first season of Code Geass.

Another example would be Saji Crossroad from Gundam 00. He whines about how fighting brings war, and war brings death, but winds up up committing an unforgivable act (the specifics are a spoiler). And after that he still acts like a hypocrite.

Oh yeah, and I also hate in anime when two people are running from the "final bad guy" in a certain anime, one person trips and falls over, the other person says something like, "I'll stall him, you run." Then the two proceed to have a long ass conversation about their deep love for each other or something while the "final bad guy" is still running after them. It's just stupid.
